Paleo Questions for Connectivity
« on: July 31, 2012, 11:02:03 PM »
Hey kids.

I've been trying for months to get my co-hosts to participate in a dinosaur-themed bonus segment of Connectivity but nobody will step up. So today I came up with a new idea: my co-host reads questions that YOU folks ask in this thread. Depending on the turnout, I can't guarantee they'll all be answered, but we can always do another segment later.

So ask your extinct organism-related questions here! I will try VERY hard to resist answering them until the show.
This would be my PSN Trophy Card, but I guess I can't post HTML in my Signature. I'm the pixel spaceship, and I have nine Gold trophies.

What the heck happened to the good ol' Brontosaurus? Is that still a recognized dinosaur, or is it all Brachiosaur or Apatosaurus now or whatnot?

Is it consensus that a big asteroid hit New Mexico and caused the K-T extinction, or the extinction of the dinosaurs generally? What other extinction theories are there? Which is your favourite?

What is the biggest dinosaur found to date? When and where did it live?

What is the the Burgess Shale and why it is important? Has it changed thinking about dinosaus and evolution and whatnot?
Oui, Mon Gars!

Did dinosaurs really rule the world? Like, did they have an actual empire?
