Help me finish this terrible movie...
« on: April 01, 2011, 02:17:23 AM »
General: You five astronauts have been hand picked for an expedition on the planet Alpha-029. This planet is unique in that it is exactly the distance from its sun as earth, and of the same size, but considerably more dense. Probe readings are unusual to say the least. One minute, you would think it was a God damn tropical paradise, the next a desolate waste land. From our readings from this ship, we have gathered that while the atmosphere is much like our own, there is no water and no signs of life. All images retrieved are of nothing but scared terrain. Your mission is to explore this planet for anything of interest and after six months return with a full report.

The General then briefs them with the mandatory safety measures including if rescue is necessary, then dismiss them. After a scene with the crew meeting each other (some getting along better than others), a love scene, and a montage of them getting ready, the crew travels to the planet below.

The shuttle lands and the exit hatch opens. Three men and two women step out. The gravity is slightly heavier. The surface is blue-gray and sand-like. The sky is huge and brown. HD GAME.

Sophia: Captain, the readings from the ship has been confirmed. We do not need our apparatuses. The air is breathable.

Captain Muzyere (Muu-Zi-Ear) removes his helmet and takes in a deep breath. He then orders the rest of the crew to do the same. The cool air brushes their hair and neck. But it is different, almost liquid like.

Muzyere: Ok team, fan out to a 100 meters and collect preliminary samples.

Muzyere meanders over to darker spot of the turf, collects a handful of sand and massages it through his fingers. The camera cuts to other members of the team kneeling and digging into the ground.

Suddenly, a huge gust of air hits the team, toppling some. From a point in the horizon, the sky explodes into color. What was once brown is now green and purple. A bright light appears in the same direction, growing brighter and more intense till none of the team can bare to look at it. The light expands across the sky, searing the color back to a dull brown.

Billy Bob: What the **** was that?! Captain!

Muzyere: Shut up! I have no idea what that was. Everyone just stay still...

The planet starts to quake and rumble. The sky starts to darken with streaks of gray and black.

Bob: Captain...

Muzyere: Everyone just stay calm...

The quakes become more fierce; the sky darker. The sun, now, is nowhere to be seen. The ground under the shuttle begins to splinter and crack.

Aisha: The ship!

Muzyere: Nobody move!

Bob: **** that! Our supplies are in there!

Muzyere: Bob!

Bob frantically sprints to the ship's opening. The cracks under the shuttle become even more severe. Once inside, Bob hysterically tries to grab as much as he can. Rumbling under the ship knocks instruments over and breaks incubators.

Tank: Captain?! Should we go after him?!

Muzyere: Do not move!

The ground under one of the ships four legs fissures, knocking the ship off balance. Inside, Bob is thrown against the adjacent wall, spilling all that he as gathered. He quickly tries to recoup his losses, but decides to escape with the few supplies he has. Another leg is engulfed by the planet, knocking bob into beam and cutting his leg.

Tank: Captain! CAPTAIN!

Muzyere: Do not go after him! That is an order!

Bob, hurt, begins to hobble for the exit. It is only a few seconds away. The quakes intensify and taking with them the third leg. Bob reaches the exit and for a moment, he can see a few of his teammates. The last foundation fissures into a chasm, and the whole ship plunges into an abyss.

Sophia: Boooooooooooooobbbbbbbbb!

The team runs to the edge of the chasm, searching through the dust, waiting to hear a response.

Aisha: Bob! Can you hear me?! Bob!

Nothing....Then.

Bob: HEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLP!

Bob is seen struggling to hang onto the loose rock on the side of the cliff.

Muzyere: Tank, hold my legs.

The Captain, eases himself over the ledge till he is looking straight down the chasm. He maneuvers lower to reach Bob. Reaching out to him, Bob grabs on and both are pulled back up to safety. All three of them lay down to catch their breath.

Bob: Haha ha hahaha Whew! That was close.

Tank: You manage to grab any supplies, idiot?

Bob: Nope.

He then sits up, pulls out a pack of smokes, lights one up, then laughs again. The rest of the team shakes their heads. Soon, the skyline starts to clear up and return to a dull brown. The sun is once again seen. The gash on Bob's leg is bleeding. One of the drops of blood falls onto the ground, and in an instant, grass flourishes miraculously. The team (especially Bob) act appropriately. Bob then pushes more blood out of his leg and drops it on a different spot. Same result.

Sophia: Incredible...

The plant begins to ensnare Bob's leg, following the blood towards his wound. Bob frenetically tears the weeds off of him.

Bob: It's trying to eat me!

Sophia: Perhaps the seeds are dormant under the soil and become suddenly awakened when water is introduced.

Aisha: Maybe...but first things first, let's cover up this wound before he pisses himself.

Muzyere walks away from the group, staring at the point of the horizon from which the bright light came. Tank walks over to him.

Tank: So what now, Captain? We have no supplies and no idea what the hell just happened.

Muzyere: I know. But we do know one thing. The order of when these events happened.

He walks over to the spot where he knelt down.

Muzyere: First, we started digging into the soil and soon a bright light came from the horizon and covered the sky. Not five minutes later, the sky darkened and the quakes devoured our ship.

Tank: So there related.

Muzyere: They have to be.

The Captain gathers his team and tells them that they have to head towards where the light came from. After some protest from those who want to wait for rescue (which could be days away at least), they head out.
