Activision today revealed X-Men: Destiny, the latest video game focused on Marvel's popular mutants.

Players take control of a new mutant recruit, and progress with other X-Men through a "branching storyline that features a deep element of choice and gives players ultimate control of their destiny."

The game's story will be written by comic veteran Mike Carey, who recently worked on the X-Men: Legacy comic series.

Also, it is currently unconfirmed who the developer is and if the game will hit Wii and/or DS.

X-Men: Destiny will be shown off at New York Comic Con this weekend.

Sounds like a similar setup to X-Men Legends.  I have a bad feeling about this game, but hey...Activision managed to turn out a good Spider-Man game in Shattered Dimensions, so I suppose it's possible this game could be good.
There was a Signature here. It's gone now.

I can't remember a new X-Men game since the third movie. Hope it's good and more action-based than Legends/MUA.

By the way, I'm trying to find out who the developer is and confirm that it's coming to Wii and DS (an inevitability)

There was a rumor a while back that Silicon Knights was working on a Marvel RPG, though.

I hope it's an action game.
