A classic platformer is the first game to see release.

Nintendo's Virtual Console Arcade has seen relatively few releases since its introduction, being comprised primarily of Sega, Tecmo, and Namco titles.  Capcom has now announced that they are going to be releasing their arcade games for the service in Japan.

The first game to see release is SonSon, a side-scrolling platformer from 1984 that was the company's second arcade title.  It is based on the classic novel Saiyuuki ("Journey to the West"), and is said to be the first of many popular catalog titles that Capcom plans to release on Virtual Console Arcade.

SonSon will be released in Japan this summer for 800 Wii Points.

Minor correction, it's SonSon (CamelCase). I played the game on Capcom Classics Collection a few years ago, and I think I liked it.
