CG for sure, but in a tasteful Pixar way (not like Dreamworks). Or if it were live action then something akin to Avatar where all the characters and worlds have significant CG effects.

BTW, Link talks...he talks alot, we just don't hear him talk. He's not a mute, he just doesn't have any voice acting apart from the grunts and screams.

And if I were going to make a Link movie, it would definitely be based on Wind Waker. That story is so easy to follow, but it's also filled with mystique and awesomeness (Pirates FTW).

Personally I'd like something with a darker tone, and a story that doesn't follow the game closely. That's actually odd for me to say, because I normally dislike when a movie based on a game does so very loosely. The thing is, with Zelda they can get away with it as long as they have all the main components; Link, Zelda, Ganon/Ganondorf, Mastersword. Done.

Perhaps they can try something epic where they take part of Zelda II's plot and have Ganons minions out to spill Links blood in order to resurrect him, and do so! Of course Link himself would be resurrected by some means, I just think it'd be a nice change of pace to let Ganon get a "win" for once, ya know?

Yeah, but this is the first "Legend of Zelda". You want it to be accessible, bright and cheery. It can have a darker tone towards the end when you find out the truth about who Link is and the eternal struggle for the triforce. That would also lead into a badass sequel where Ganon does win (like the Empire Strikes Back); which is a pretty cool idea.

I picked Wind Waker because of how the story progresses. Perm wanted to use Ocarina of time, which basically starts out epic and proceeds to be epic. Wind Waker, however, starts out slow but becomes more interesting with the kidnapping and pirates, but only later do you find out how epic it really is; kind of like LOTR. Plus, out of all the characters from Zelda games, I think Wind Waker's could be the most lenient in terms of creative departure.

The basic break down of all the Zeldas is essentially the same, so writing an original story shouldn't be that hard.  They could even borrow elements from multiple games and write a story that way.  It's one of those too easy to **** up things.

oh, this is resurrected?  I think I changed my mind on the matter. I would be a little dismayed if anybody but Warner Bros. made any movies based on Zelda or Metroid. I saw Dragon Ball Z and GI Joe and I could see how this could go wrong.

ultimately my goal in life is to either be a movie director, or game director. I'm the type who would be very true to the subject, but I would need a substantial crew to get it done right. I hate it when some piece of trash hack tarnishes a wonderful franchise. I just entirely caught up on Naruto, and have been thinking what it would be like as a film. I don't think I would be a hollywood style director though. I couldn't imagine the movie in English. Goku in High School WTF?
Have they not seen any kung fu movies.....If I had done dragon Ball Z it would have been somewhere between Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, Twin Warriors(Master of Tai Chi), and Drunken Tai Chi visually, but of course with the Dragon Ball story....I wouldn't rush to Piccolo either. Try to include everything? WTF.

and what? i said i wanted link to be a mute last year? This must have been after that IGN crap video, no he'd probably talk....he's be a man of few words though, like Uchiha

I think Disney could make a good Zelda, but I'll reserve full judgment until I see Prince of Persia.

I feel the same way. Either in the same vein as Pirates or an animation from Pixar.

actually I watched Beowulf recently, and it wasn't bad at all. Zelda would have to not be like any movie right now, it should be a fantasy movie, but with an asian vibe. Somewhere between House of Flying daggers and Lord of the Rings.

It would have to be a lot closer to Lord of the Rings, but lighter.
