RE4 sold on the Wii for two reasons:

1) Budget price;
2) It's f*cking awesome.

Can't say the same for Dead Rising. The game is going to be full price, and the original game wasn't all that great.

Dead Rising is actually $40 not full price.

Really? I didn't know that.

It could have been cheaper, but its good they considered budget price.

Kairon: I have to make some corrections.

First, Resident Evil 4 was released on the GC and then the PS2 in 2005. In January of 2005 if I am not mistaken. It also received a very bad PC port. Finally, Dead Rising was released on the 360 in the summer of 2006, not 2008.

Thanks for the corrections pap!

Ah, $40? That's...okay, that's still too expensive. RE4 was $30. Dead Rising should follow a similar model.

It was 40€ here. Then again Dead Rising didn't get a release at all...

I do not mean that the PS2 and Wii are equivalent in hardware power.  I am saying that when you compare the Wii, PS2, and the Xbox 360 in common the Wii is much closer to the PS2 than the 360.

Amazon has it for $37. Automatic super saver shipping too.
I'm always hawking good deals on Amazon. $22 for Sam & Max and & $30 for The World Ends With You (brand new, think it was mislabeled since it went back up days later) were nice catches. Not from Marketplace sellers either.

The Wii has the hardware capabilities comparable to the PSP and PS2...not the PS3 or Xbox 360, so any games that we believe must be done on the higher end consoles can not be ported or done with the Wii period.

Pretty sad, considering that even the GameCube had far superior hardware to the PS2. Then again, so did the Dreamcast...

No, it didn't have superior hardware. Though, the difference between the two probably wasn't as great as the leap the GC and XBOX gave over them...

You guys may also want to consider upgrading to Amazon Prime if you order a lot of stuff them. That is what I have and it is great to have free 2 day shipping or for $4 more you can get it with overnight shipping.

Now that I think about it I do get a lot of stuff from Amazon. I've even considered getting food from them from time to time if the deal is good. I always dismissed it as too much, but I will re-evaluate it. Though I am fairly patient and have had little issue with shipping times from them.
Thanks for the pointer.

sometimes you can get a better deal on stuff from ebay. As long as you don't mind the fact the games are used...

Yeah though I've seen the opposite being true.

Yeah though I've seen the opposite being true.

I ended up paying too much to re-buy Rogue Squadron off of E-Bay. You can get caught up in the bidding process. I thought I was bidding on the only copy but after I took the lead I started searching more and realized that a page later there were three more up for bid. Stupid me.

And I don't like to buy games used unless they are older. I like to support the games and devs I like by buying them. Plus I have a thing for unwrapping new games. And GameStop sucks for opening up new games to put the dumb box on the shelf and charging you full price. I will turn down a game if they pull one out like that.

GameStop has tried to pull that on me on several occasions.  I told them "NAW WAY, DAWG, PUT THAT SHIZ BACK."

They've lately wised up cuz they realize I'm their best customer.

Capcom blames us for not buying this game.

We blame them for not advertising it.

It's a win-win situation which fails massively.
