I thought the game was kinda crummy. The blood is really cool and everything but the gameplay is weak. There's no jump button, the movement is jerky, there's way too many combinations and buttons so end up just mashing the same button, you gotta use the d pad to move which I don't like, and it's really unbalanced. I haven't played many fighting games but I didn't think this game was fun, beyond the first five minutes. I hope that Soul Caliber game isn't like this.

honestly its probably the best fighting game ive ever played. only thing that takes getting used to is hitting the L button to change between weapon styles in order to finish 10+ hit combos. to address the d-pad only controls, i think it would be extremely hard to pull off certain moves using the control stick. i like how they did the konquest mode so you can learn all of the characters moves quite easily, and it gives you koins to unlock new characters, concept art, levels, costumes, etc. just my opinion, but i rented deadyl alliance and i was very impressed

Go play Soul Calibur.  It completely mops the floor with this poor and pathetic excuse for a game.  I guess if you like watching poorly animated characters spit unrealistic blood everywhere, and if you are easily amused by things such as paint drying, then you might like this game.

Otherwise, play a real fighting game.

The game is an ok fighter. I only bought this game 2 hold me off untill SC2. I dont have trouble with the combos at all. The game can get quite fustrating when you don't know your character. For example, I used to play it and would get really pissed off (broke 2 controlers ) cuz I would lose. But I have now discovered that Frost is my character and I enjoy the game now. Lu Kain is not in the game which pisses me off but I got over it. Basically if you have the money get it to hold you off until SC2.

IT's a really good game but if you have PS2 get it for that instead because with the gamecube controller you have to use the D-Pad to move and the control stick does nothing

I own this and its one of my top five favorite out of my 17 game collection. Very fun, and you'll find yourself replaying it forever. In my opinion MKDA is a must own.

Yes its worth owning. I was surprised by how good it was, its not on the same level as Soul Calibur but it is an excellent fighter. The fatalies suck but the gameplay is pretty good so I think that makes up for the weak fatalies. Also some of the extras are good, I love "Cooking with Scorpion"

this is one of the few fighting games that requires some form of skill to play it. you guys just whine too much cause you cant beat it on normal mode. it's the best fighter out in america right now. i havent played sould calibur 2 yet, cause it aint out here. trust me, get mka, you wont be upset.

the game is incredibily easy to master... all it is, is learning the combos for each character... once the other person isnt blocking you use your combo. Not much depth into the game besides the different stances, and even that gets old because you will develop a liking to one particular stance and only use the others to make your combo longer.

Not to mention that the game is real easy to beat aswell. Test your might and sight are about the most fun I have when I play the game. If you want to play a real fighting game, go play Guilty Gear: X2...
If you want a 3d fighter, theres Soul Caliber... if nothing else, at least rent it before you buy it... it will grow old by the 5th day...
If only I had a gun...
