I believe that Sega had stated that this is, to some degree, a litmus test. If this does well, they'll release House of the Dead 4. Personally, It'd like to see a remake of the original House of the Dead, but 4 would be good as well.

Litmus test is code word for "Let's fool the fans into thinking if it sells well we'll release original games, but instead we'll release more ports because they sell so well".
