Heroes of Mana

I'll get straight to the point, its a Real Time Strategy game!  Sure it is a bit off course from the original formula, but then again the series hasn't exactly stuck with any formula for very long.

The above link has a few videos, 1 of gameplay too.  It looks rather enjoyable.  According to Nintendo Power, they say the game will have you start with an airship (base), and then build barracks, gather resources, build units, etc.  If everything pans out, I think I may have to buy this one this time since I saved my money last time by skipping out on Children of Mana

It's being released in August... that's real soon!

Has anyone heard anything on whether the game is decent or not? It it too hard? Or has it been made nice and easy like everything insinuating FFXII RW has? I'm just about to give up on the ENTIRE Mana series, maybe this game will persuade me not to give up hope?

Go hence, to have more talk of these sad things;
Some shall be pardon'd, and some punished:
For never was a story of more woe
Than this of Sega and her Mashiro.

Most of what I've read say the game is great except for its horrible AI, and any genre fan will tell you that that alone can kill a RTS game. Not the opponent AI, but the pathfinding AI for your own troops, which is even worse, because the opponent will get you because your troops don't go the way they should. They do say that some maps, simpler ones without many sharp turns or stuff in the way, don't have many problems with the AI because of the simpler geometry.

Maybe every Secret of  game has used the same pathfinding routine since 1992.
That's my opinion, not yours.
