The secret Nintendo song by Kazumi Totaka

I didn't see a post of it here, and I know some people here don't seem to like GoNintendo (where I found this), so maybe you haven't seen it yet:

Secret song in Nintendo titles

That tune from the "O" in Mario Paint and the K.K. Song in Animal Crossing are the same tune, which I already knew about...but did you know that it is also hidden in Link's Awakening, Yoshi's Story, Super Mario Land 2, and other Nintendo games?  o_0

How do people find these things?  Considering that you have to wait 2 and a half to 4 minutes to find some of them...

Waaay cool.  I'm tempted to look through some of the other games and look for the song, they're bound to be in there somewhere.

Yep, the Link's Awakening one is obviously the best...Because it's in Link's Awakening...

Hmm, might be in Luigi's Mansion, you say? The obvious place to look would be the music room. I would, but I don't own the game (which is something I need to correct at some point.)

Maybe you have to touch the instruments in the right order...

A comment on the page said that if you leave Luigi alone for a while, he will start whistling the same song.. gotta try that.

That's really cool!

Luigi definitely whistles a lot when you leave him alone, I wouldn't be surprised if he does this tune.   I can even picture it in my mind, but I'm known to fill in details nicely with my imagination.

My favourite versions from the ones they showed were Yoshi Touch n' Go and the one hidden in the Japanese menu of Link's Awakening DX.
That's my opinion, not yours.

I'm 100% positive Luigi will whistle the tune in Luigi's Mansion, at least in certain areas if you don't press any buttons for a long time.

Now that I think about it, maybe he doesn't whistle it, but I'm sure it's in there. Sorry, haven't played that snore-fest in a long time.

I believe you have it correct. When left alone, at least for a small amount of time, he will whistle the theme song for Luigi's Mansion, which does seem to bear resemblance to Totaka's song.

I found one!  (kinda sorta)!

Apparently, it was (somewhat) recently discovered that Totaka's Song was used on one of the Animal Crossing e-Reader cards (P15, the Who Dunnit? Game).  In addition, it was speculated that P13, which has the same game, would also have the song on it... it does!

Also, card #001 - K.K. Slider - plays the song.  I've sent a video into powet.tv...
Just some random guy on the internet who has a different opinion of games than you.
