Prelaunch (18th) celebrations/stunts thread.
« on: November 06, 2006, 03:56:26 PM »
I will be camping about 6/7pm and I will be dressing as Wario, and making my friends come as Mario, Luigi and maybe Pit if I have enough time.  And maybe staging a Smash Brotheresque brawl with paper fans in the parking lot. I figure that is one way so noone will have questions why I'm there.

Ok it looks like it will happen at 3pm on the 18th in front of the Gamestop in Delavan, WI (We have to ask permission first.). The list of characters will be Wario, Mario, Luigi, Pit, Link and either Princess Peach or Zelda. We will be using parasols, hammers, and paper fans, and Mew.

We will have some one tape it and I will put it up on my web site, I have to find some one to edit it to add the smash brother sounds to it. I couldn't think of a better way to celebrate the realease of a new console.

Stupidity is lost on my. Then again I'm almost always lost.

Hmm, if I can get my Mario hat made just in time I will be dressing as him. I will be at Universal City Walk for the launch party. If I work that day I will try to run out to EB where the lines and everything will be formed and do something... I don't know, Nintendoish as Spider-Man.

Im planning on being the very first one in line. Hopefuly I can do such a thing.
Nintendo players and One Piece readers, just better people.

Ahaha. That's great, blkpaladin.

I...um. Well, I've always wanted to make a 'Got Lon Lon Milk'? t-shirt. Maybe I'll do that and wear it in line. Yeah, not very exciting.

I look like DK without needing a costume. Shame I live in the NE.

Shift Key had something like this planned, I think..

That is totally awesome.  Have fun!

(And your friends are cool...there's no way I'd do this.  No.way.)
That's my opinion, not yours.

Personally, I'd be a bit more low-key.  I'm considering dressing all in white, with a hint of blue, like how all of the Wii promo models are dressed.

Someone should set up their Christmas tree early, wrap their Wii, then record a fake "Christmas opening" of it (you know someone's going to do it before Christmas, so why not right away?) and perfectly reenact the infamous "Nintendo 64 Kid" video.

"WII!  OMIGAWD!  WII!  YES!  YES!  YES!  NOW WE CAN RENT GAMES AT BLOCKBUSTER!  WII!  WII!  YES!"

Hey, even though it's an old idea, I guarantee you'd get tens of thousands of views for sure.
