Jon your a genius.  We can get non-gamers by including cute its.  They come as its and then once they make contact with there new "Companion"  they morph into a beautiful man or women considering the preference of their "Companion".  That will surely bring people into the fold.

I will simply say that Wii Sports is the first game I have played in a long time I actually believe I can get a group of nongamer friends to enjoy and laugh and have a good time.

I also believe Wario Ware Smooth Moves is one of those games as well...and potentially Super Monkey Ball: Banana Blitz, because the original Super Monkey Ball helped to gather a crowd.

Wii Sports Developer Interviews

I just finished reading this development issue.

It focuses on the depth of the games, and it is quite fascinating...and proves that the games are deeper and richer than we first imagined.

Things that I thought were interesting:

1)Nobody has bowled a perfect game of bowling in all the test practicing of the game...and it is possible to bowl into another lane.

2)Golf has 9 holes from the original NES Golf game redone in 3D.  Awesome.

3)Boxing has 30 specially created Miis to battle each with increasing difficulty and you can dodge by moving your body instead of just your hands, and the Wiimote naturally picks up the movement and dodges.

4)Practice modes are bringing back high scores and putting value to them as the family and friends can compete to best each other.

5)No Single Tennis hit has ever been the same in the game.  

These games do not sound like they lack depth at all.  They are simple to play, but hard to master.  Fantastic.

I've just been reading the same series, and I loved the end of the third part where they were talking about people's reactions to the game and how people will run around or toss an imaginary ball in the air even though those things have no affect on the gameplay.

I'm more convinced than ever that including this with Wii was the best choice.  Many gamers will grudgingly pay for it, and then they'll play it and even if they don't like it, hopefully they'll play it with someone who isn't a hardcore gamer, and that person's mind will be changed.
