Nintendo Wii: The Revolution

New control Scheme
Sleek Look
Killer Apps
Good Word of Mouth
Steady Supply
Good Price
the wow factor

The controls have been covered extensively...we know their sweet.

Gamecube was tiku tiku tiku! , mostly because the console look tiku tiku tiku! . I showed my date my cube and she was like woah thats small. Wait till she see's my Wii.

Zelda:TP. Some are worried about Wii controlls on Zelda. Naysayers say nay another word. Zelda has made a few transitions. From 2d to 3d, and now from stagnant controls to even more interactive ones. At the core Zelda is still Zelda, the puzzles, the fighting, the exploration, the imersion. This will be the biggest Zelda ever, bigger the Ocarina, bigger than any before it. I bet this game will get RAVE RAVE reviews. Except like MattIGN who will bitch about the graphics or something lame.

Wii is talked of fondly, way more fond than Gamecube was.

It appears that if Nintendo only sells half of its Wii stock then it will still trample Sony because Sony will have limited supplies....also knowing Sony..they won't work!!

Wii is popular among everyone it seems, avid sony gamers talk about Wii fondly, sme with xbox gamers. In fact alot of gamers are even willing to own it as their Second system.

The price is alot cheaper than the competition, while not the best price Nintendo has offered...i think it is important for Nintendo to make a bigger profit, If we want all the third party support..Nintendo is going to need a bit of extra money. In fact, I think they could have released Gamecube for 100 dollars more than it did. No one would have bitched! The best looking Cube games look better than xbox games ironically. In my opinion for what they offered we owe them, and if we want out third party support..the money thats going to pay for that is going to have to come from somehwere. Plus its way cheaper then damn ps3.

demonstrated there....you will say wow. You will want it. So will everyone else.

I predict a revolution. It will start with the gamers, they will show everyone their new toy. This will convince seocondary adopters. These adopters will then spread the word. It'll be like NES all over again.

That video is so cheesy... but the worst part is that I constantly do the same thing with "Ohhhh!" and other such noises when I get into the game (I'm the worst with Smash Bros...).

Okay, but pace yourself. You don't want to whip it out right away.

Its strange I've seen PS3 and 360 fanboys at my college all pretty much become Wii adopters, but PC gamers don't seem to like it a bit.

Playing on CounterStrike a lot I used a Wii picture as my Spray image and I would get a lot of crap for it.  Usually just the typical response "Teh Wii Sucks!", sometimes I would get a "WTF is that?", and of course the gunshots the gunshots to the Wii but then again any spray image gets shot at....

Maybe its just CounterStrike players are 360 fanboys i dunno, but either way Nintendo still needs to get the word out.  "WTF is that?" is not what i expect to hear when the system is only about 38 days away.

Yeah, But I have to wait until December 8th *cries* But it'll be worth it. Everyone here are into their xbox and haven't heard of the Wii. Only a couple of people I work with have heard of the Wii, and they're the types of gamers who've been playing since the Nes/Genesis days. Whereas people who haven't heard of wii only 'really' got into gaming with the xbox, so it makes sence that they haven't heard of the wii. So I dont actually know the generlisation of Wii here but I hope its good. Its gonna be affordable so thats gonna be a key factor. But Nintendo Must, must 'MUST' break out of this tiku tiku tiku!  factor and get more games like Red Steel and Resident Evil:Umbrella Chronicles, and blow them out of proportion! (Comercially) A guy at work I told about the Wii said that Ninteno had got too tiku tiku tiku!  and just wouldnt get out of it, but I assured him they were trying this time, to make it a console for everyone. And I want it to be but after the above mentioned titles I'm out of ideas :-S I know theres Zelda, but that wouldnt attract an 'xbox fanboi' who sees Gta as an adult game, y'know? I guess only time Will tell. Anyone who knows of more titles ('Misery' is another) add them here.  I suppose getting more adult titles could be part of nintendo's plan to make it a console for everyone?
