Time for more Random Thoughts.....

Health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

Some people are like Slinkies. Not really good for anything, but you still can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

How is it one careless match can start a forest fire, but it takes a whole box to start a campfire?

In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird. Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

Another test(the one I mentioned in another thread)

Quote

The e-mail as I recieved it

At the end of this message, you will be asked a question.

Answer it immediately. Don't stop and think about it.

Just say the first thing that pops into your mind.

This is a fun "test"... AND kind of spooky at the same time!

Give it a try, then e-mail it around (including back to me) and you'll
see how many people you know fall into the same percentage as you.
Be sure to put in the subject line if you are among the 98% or the 2%.

You'll understand what that means after you finish taking the
"test."

Now - just follow the instructions as quickly as possible.

Do not go to the next calculation before you have f! inished
the previous one..

You do not ever need to write or remember the answers, just do
it using your mind.

You'll be surprised.

Start:

How much is:
15 + 6

3 + 56

89 + 2

12 + 53

75 + 26

25 + 52

63 + 32

I know! Calculations are hard work, but it's nearly over..

Come on, one more!

123 + 5

QUICK! THINK ABOUT A COLOR AND A TOOL!

Scroll further to the bottom....

A bit more....

You just thought about a red hammer, didn't you?

If this is not your answer, you are among 2% of people who have
a different, if not abnormal, mind.

98% of the folks would answer a red hammer while doing this
exercise.

If you do not believe this, pass it around and you'll see.
Be sure to put in the subject line if you are among the 98% or
the 2% and send to everyone, including the person that sent it to
you.

I'm in the 2% cause my answer wasn't even close.
And I still don't get how this test even works... even though 4 people in my office said "red hammer"

I thought...blue screwdriver. But I have a way of pre-empting my natural insticts without realizing it. Also, I did the test kind of slowly because I was expecting it to try and make you trip up on the last question.

If I were to guess, I'd say the secret is in the words, not the numbers....but I'm not sure...

edit: here's an explanation. The test doesn't influence people's answers at all. Interesting stuff.

I was stunned by the sudden switch from math, and after my wheels spun a few times, I answered, "No."  I'm not sure if that means anything.

Well just incase no one read my answer in the other thread, a co-worker asked me what my answer was and I blurted out w/o thinking " Black Hoe".  I got a couple of half glances after I realized how that could be misinterpreted by someone who had not taken the test.

I thought of a black wrench.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

1. Read some answers before I took the test, unfortunately.
2. However, the final question still sort of took me by surprise.
3. I saw a plow in my head
4. The word "blue" didn't quite come to me, brown came instead.
5. I couldn't think of the word for a plow, so I thought of a hoe instead.

So my probably tainted answer was "brown hoe".
That's my opinion, not yours.

I think I figured out why I thought of a screwdriver.

Are you sure it's not because "screw" is used as a word to mean "sex"?

Are you saying Nintendo secretly puts sexually suggestive messages on their instruction manuals?

No, but you do have a point.  Maybe that's why they gave Mario a screwdriver instead of, say, a soldering iron.

I thought the same as the blog there, hammer is the most common tool so its going to get a lot of answers.
