Ian doesn't frequent Ty's Funhouse, so unless someone points out this thread to him I doubt he'll even know it exists.

Miyamoto apologizes for Pikmin

"God, I'm so sorry about that game.  I don't know what I was thinking.  Who the hell would want to play in my Garden?  I'll go back to signing agreements with EA, allowing them to use Mario in their sports games."
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

For the record, Ian is actually one of the most level-headed about the whole Wii thing.

But this post has the appearance of seriosity!  I think all Nintendo needs to do is announce that all new Wii games will be targeted for non-gamers and Mario will be in every game from now on.

Mario Fishing
Mario Chef
Pikmario 3: Collecting Coins
Mario Darts
F-Mario WX
Mario Piano Lessons
Super Mario Bus Stop

Edit: called it Revolution by accident.
That's my opinion, not yours.

In light of recent events, and after much thought, I think the following announcement would cause a rant of truly epic proportions:

Major third party publishers have begun to announce the cancellation of support for Nintendo's next generation console.  When asked, they universally claimed it was because of the official name change.  "We just can't publish an M- or even T-rated game on something called a Wii," said one anonymous source.  That sentiment was shared by others as well, such as the developer who claimed, "Nintendo is obviously aiming for a different target market than we know how to serve.  What that target is, I can't say."  When asked for comment, a Nintendo representative stated, "Wii understand that Wii is not for everyone.  Wii have a assembled a Dream Team of developers dedicated to providing innovative and fun ways to play with Wii's incredible new features."

They change the name back to Revolution.
Silly monkeys; give them thumbs they make a club and beat their brother down. How they survive so misguided is a mystery. Repugnant is a creature who would squander the ability to lift an a eye to heaven conscious of his fleeting time here.
