I see what you're doing here.

EDIT:  So I finished Fire Emblem last week.  It was great.  I really enjoyed the game.  It's in my top five GameCube games.  I highly recommend it to anyone not strategy RPG-adverse (i.e. KDR shouldn't play this game).

The story, while a bit cliche, managed to be pretty interesting through the entire game.  It was a tad slow at the beginning, but it really picked up after the first few chapters.

My only complaint is that it was too easy.  The first half of the game was a pretty good difficulty, but by the end it managed to be almost pathetically easy.  I think it's because since I restart if I let a character die my core team was more powerful than they had anticipated.  I'm sure if I had pressed forward after someone died and was forced to start using a weaker character it would have been more difficult.

In short, it's an awesome game, but if you've played a Fire Emblem game before I recommend playing on hard mode.
Why must all things be so bright? Why can things not appear only in hues of brown! I am so serious about this! Dull colors are the future! The next generation! I will never accept a world with such bright colors! It is far too childish! I will rage against your cheery palette with my last breath!

I played Midway Arcade Treasures 2 on the Gamecube this weekend. Let me tell you, most of these games aren't treasure. They are crap. Even games that I remember fondly from the arcade were unmitigated garbage.

Here are the games the held up over time:
Gauntlet II
Mortal Kombat II
Rampage World Tour
Total Carnage
Narc

everything else: super poopy

Total Carnage was awesome.

I got into the pleasure dome, but I never got the girls to be "very friendly" as the game implies you can do somehow...

Pleasure dome? I thought that was in Smash TV?

Pro666: Well, yeah, at least when I'm playing. Can't get a handle on that stupid 3d fighting system.

It was both. In fact, you meet the guys from Smash TV once you get in there.

Midways Arcade Treasures is the GC game I play most, mostly cuz of Gauntlet, Rampage and Mk II, ok more for MK II but still, I beat NARC too many times so its not so fun anymore.
