I would sacrifice the GBPlayer for a harddrive.  GB is mainly for outside the house and when you're free of wire.

they could make the hard drive capable of being a pass through for the GB player, you know.  Basically, the hard drive plugs into your GC and the GB player plugs into that.  wouldnt be that tough to pull off.

I for one would never shell out more than 25$ for a GC harddrive.  I don't see any benefit for such a thing.  Custom soundtrack???  Yeah....  My brother he have a XBox and we seriously think that while cool, the Hard Drive could have been sold as an add-on to lower the XBox price.  This things is not mandatory and he don't use it much except for saving his game.   And I don't think that publisher will jump on the hardrive this late in the GC life.  A hard drive = N64 DD.
I even bet that MS will not include the HD in their next gen system.

I bought my GC today!! and to be honest, the only thing that has annoyed me, and annoyed me plenty, is no way of saving my games in the box!  I'm used to Pc and XBOX so I guess It's just that memory card whatsits is a new concept to me, but I had to get a Game memory card and second controller for £15 which in itself is not a bad price, but I hear I may have problems with the memory card overheating as it's not a Nintendo one :/

Hard drive add on will make my life easier but should of been included as they are cheaper than a night on the town nowadays.

I'd much rather of paid £30 for a hard drive add on, than £6.99 for a third party 4MB!!!!!????  memory card :/

Hi.  Newbie posting here.  Have a 6 yr. old with both a 64 and a Gamecube.  Problem is that OI have to unplug one to let him play the other.  Anyone know of where I can get a switching box that will aloow both to be plugged in at the same time??  I'd appreciate any info you might have about name, where to order, etc.  Many thanks.

GameStop and EBgames stores tend to have "system selectors" that typically run for $20, supporting up to 5 systems.

Target and Wal-mart will also have selectors/switchboxes (different brands, but identical functions) in the same price range, usually for up to 4 systems.  You'll have to find these in the Audio/Video cables section, not the video game section.
