I'll go first:

The strategy is not that complicated.  Make a console that developers want to support and consumers want to buy.  Make sure it has a steady release of quality games.  There is no trick to it, it's just competency and hard work.  Wacky strategies is why the Wii U is a flop.  "Well we have no games and no third party support but our controller looks like a tablet so everyone will just be so mesmorized that they won't notice!"  Nintendo thinking they're King **** and can cut corners everywhere and jerk their customers and business associates around the whole time has blown up in their face.  They ride out this gen (since they're clearly not abandoning the Wii U) and next time stop fucking around for the first time in 20 years and maybe they'll bounce back if they haven't completely burned all their bridges.

Well if it's SOOOO easy to make a console why don't YOU do it?

Seriously Nintendo, next time you make a console you should make something people will like. You're focusing way too much on designing something that people don't care about.

So it turns out a back line of Dylan Remick, Jalil Anibaba, Zach Scott and DeAndre Yedlin isn't quite up to the task of stopping Keane, Zardes and Donovan.

My biggest concern is that the Circuit City down the street from my office will be a (worse) giant eyesore.  I've never liked Circuit City.  The store layout makes no sense, nobody's ever manning the cash registers, and their stupid security system beeps at the card key in my wallet every time I walk in or out.  I can walk there from where I work, so it's not like they had to do much to get my business, but they still screwed it up.

Well if it's SOOO easy to lay out a store, why don't YOU do it?

Gamers and developers are obsessed with specs and hardware power. PS4 outsells and gets more support than Xbox One and Wii U because it's more powerful. Smartphones, PC's, and tablets get more powerful every year. PC gamers always want the best specs, GPU companies are trying to push the limits of mobile graphics, etc.

But when it comes to handhelds, it's like no one cares about specs anymore. Vita was lauded as the most powerful handheld of its time, yet the weaker 3DS outsold it. Game Boy outsold Game Gear, DS outsold PSP, the list goes on.

If it's SOOO easy to care about specs, why don't YOU do it?

Man, it's like a bad Shark Tank / Dragon's Den pitch. Here's my idea. Now I want you the investors to pay me millions of dollars for it and do all the work of producing and selling it while I give you a small percentage of the profits. Then they're shocked when they don't go along with it. But it's just so easy. It's a guaranteed success. I figured this out because I'm such a genius. This thread is still on the money for calling out these armchair CEO's.
