FIVE new Pokemon games for GBA and DS

Long story short, two action RPGS for the DS, a puzzle game for the DS and a new "Mysterious Dungeon" duo of games that span both the GBA and the DS.

Will this lead to the jolt of new creativity that the Pokemon series desperately needs? Discuss.

Woah.

Wow.

That puzzle game sounds like Zoo Keeper, cept with an adventure mode.

I'm confused about all the others.

Discuss.

I sure hope that they're well spaced out.

Pokemon Ranger intrigues me greatly, since it's apparently an Action RPG!  (A disappointingly under-appreciated gaming genre)

I like Action RPGs way more than traditional ones. I don't know why, but few standard RPGs command my attention - good job, you have a complex story and good graphics, but you play games, don't you? Sending commands and watching them carried out without playing isn't my view of fun. There are, of course, notable exceptions which I enjoyed, but they do not outweigh the bad ones.

That's why I fell in love with the Tales battle system.

Yep, agree. Tales is awesome, no doubt about it. I enjoy games like Diablo 2 far more than turn based RPGs, although all RPGs sit with me rather well. I just hope they don't short change some of these Pokémon spin offs in terms of length. Some of them, like Snap, were pretty fun... but seemed to end right away.

Yeah, Snap was WAY too short, but it wans't an RPG, so I'm not too worried about the length. Plus, an action RPG of pokemon will be tto fun to put down.
