the new trailer baby! I don't like the dinosaurs at all, but the gorilla is awesome. I smell a prequel. He is suppossed to be 150 years old.
Let's play; If I had been in the directors chair. The only things I would have done different from what I have seen is to use people that look like real foreign islanders and to have made the dinosaurs less reptile like and much more bird like than dinosaurs have ever been seen, many full feathered with bright colors. The feathers would allow for some higher parts of the island to be cold at least at night. Instead the dinosaurs look more like crocodiles or snakes than birds. How is a decendent of the trex suppossed to be able to use its stereoscopic vision when its snout is bubbled out so it can't see past its fat nose?
Most dinosaurs died off in the hundred thousand years after the meteor crash 65 million years ago, but their smaller relatives carried on their evolutions. Today we call them birds. They lived because things got cold and food supplies got smaller. The direction that dinosaurs were taking before they died off was that of birds, at least the predators. More and more dinosaurs are being found to have had feathers. I believe the t rex would have been more intimidating if it had been beautiful with sharp streeks of black and white and bold patches of red, yellow, and orange. It would have been the most unique trex in any movie.
Anyways, the New York and Skull Island scenes look totally believable; and Kong's looking good. Jackson told the press that there is still some cg work to be done, particularly on Kong's fur. I'm glad they decided to make him more like a real gorrila than some bread of missing link like the original King Kong. I'm sure the acting will be great and the camera work top notch. I can't wait.
