obviously not the people who own PSPs

my friends aren't bothered by the battery issues or the fact that they're playing a watered down console game (they mark that as a high point of the system), nor are they concerned about load times.

it's kind of saddening, i normally don't associate myself with fools
I'll shut up now...

I don't particularly need a different experience from my portable system than from my home console.  It does need to be a little faster-paced and easy to save and quit, but otherwise, why would I want a different experience?

Well, the answer is that I'm into videogames and I'm into seeing what new concepts game developers can come up with on the DS.  But if someone else out there is perfectly happy with games the way they are, then a "watered down" version of a home console game that they can take with them is perfect.  Even I see the appeal: I play games more on the bus than at home nowdays, so I'd be happy with a portable system that plays pretty much the same kind of games as my GameCube, as long as it does it well.
That's my opinion, not yours.

You know, with the PSP I wouldn't mind the whole watered down console aspect of it, IF the games weren't $40 - $50.  That and for me, the whole "it's console level gaming on a handheld" things wears thin for me in a matter of days, and when I'm looking for a reason to keep a handheld, it's is NOT going to be because of that.
