Sony Playstation in big trouble in the US
« on: April 13, 2005, 07:35:11 AM »
I see a lot of talk back and forth here in the PGC Forums about Sony consoles, and here in particular the PSP. But has any of you heard the news about the Californian court order that Sony halt sales of all Playstations in the entire US?

Check out the news here

Judge orders end to Playstation sales in the US

Since I haven´t heard anything more about it, I wonder if any of you know if the appeal is being filed at time of writing or if it has been already won or lost.

Would surely spell doom for Sony, if they lose the appeal. I don´t think they can just win the appeal in a case of this magnitude just on their name and fame alone.

That won't kick in until the appeal is over and you're a month late. I think they'll lose the appeal too but use it to drag out the case over another few years and hope Immersion goes bankrupt in the meantime (not happening, MS has their share in Immersion and will make this another SCO if necessary).

KDR11k, I am not a month late! JUst because I post it here now, doesn´t mean I didn´t know about it earlier.

I knew about this over two weeks ago and so only because it surfaced in an obscure spot in one newspaper people get for free. NONE of the other newspapers mentioned it, probably because it isn´t of interest to them that much or because they were paid off by Sony to omit it (unlikely, but thought provoking). Then I checked it out on the internet, and found a more in-depth newsreport.

In any event, if Sony lose the appeal it will be big news for Nintendo and Microsoft.  I HOPE they lose (mu-haha, mu-haha), having seen enough of all the damage Sony has done over the years.

Good bye Sony, mu-haha!!

You're late because you're posting a thread on the subject long after there was one thread including complete discussion and everything on here.

OK, so how do you see what topics there has been over the past month, when they aren´t showing anywhere? There used to be this function in the Forum where you could scroll back several weeks, months even. But this has dissapeared.

That is why I come up with that topic and apparently late to you who saw a similar topic about it weeks earlier which I cannot see anywhere.

So how do you keep informed about previous topics then, from say 3 weeks ago?

It's still there. Perhaps your treshold is too low, look into your user prefs.

You stay informed by reading the forums and not bringing up news from two weeks ago.
