Skies of Arcadia Legends

I'm stuck at the Ruins of Ice and at a loss of  what to do.  I've located and fought the spider
and discovered the Penguin but I cannot find where to enter.  I can't find any dark spot or
any logical place to enter (according to most FAQ's I find).  Can someone please provide a
fellow gamer with some help and better directions?
