You know, 2 years ago things seemed to be going okay. GC had just launched, 5 of the top 10 games were GC games (for one week NEVER FOGHAT

), Xbox was a relative failure, GC had a few good hits with Super Smash Bros Melee, Resident Evil and Super Mario Sunshine all doing well on the charts. Then... I dunno, Microsoft
woke up. NAL were sitting back because they thought had already done their job and didn't need to do anything else. Then BAM the price of the Xbox was pretty much sliced in half thanks to that money bleeding Sega bundle.
That's where it all started falling apart, nobody cared about the Xbox when it launched despite Microsoft ramming it in peoples faces, but all of a sudden it was the COOL console. What happened? Was it the new price? Better advertising? I can't really put my finger on it. While Microsoft were riding this new hype wave what were NAL doing? Advertising
Game & Watch Gallery Advance. They must have spent all their advertising budget for the GC at launch, hoping that would be enough. WHOOPS FAILED. Hopefully they learn from their mistakes and are going to push the Nintendo DS to success, but honestly, I have
no faith at all in them. The situation they put the GameCube in is just pathetic, it's like they're trying to sell as many PS2s and Xboxs as they can. It might come down to the fact the Australian market can't handle three consoles, imagine the mayhem when the PSP and NDS are out...
I'd really like to have a one on one conversation with an employee of NAL, but they seem pretty... non-existant, any chance Planet GameCube could try to get an interview with them or something?
