Thankies! *o*
It's in celebration of getting Mario Power Tennis today. The EBgames guy called my cell in the middle of Chem lecture, and my professor's like "LET ME ANSWER IT! C'MON!" I turned it off, promptly.
I managed to live to see this day. OH THE JOY.
To test the old mechanics, I played against a "Pro" level Mario in a 1-set (best of 3 games) match, no powershots, with my tried-and-true Daisy in my very first time experiencing the game.
1st try: I got whooped. And I'm like, "WHATEVERR!"
2nd try: Mario wins in a tie-breaker. Ack.
3rd try: Mario wins a tie-breaker, again. GRRRR.
4th try: KILLED MARIO!! &$#@%. Won 2 straight games. 2nd game at 40-Love.
Moving my character felt noticeably different from the first game, but it didn't take long to adjust, and I was back in action. The classic play mechanics carried over nicely. IT WAS INTENSE.
The lighting/shadows from the varying day/sunset/evening times looked great, and the fluidity is pure sweetness. The original ran at 20fps, but this new one is 60fps, which not only means it's nice to look at, you've got 3X the frame-accuracy for more precise ULTIMATE GAMEPLAY.
The game box even says it's a "BEST SELLER," ROCK ON! GOOD WAY TO MAKE IT LOOK LIKE IT'S WORTH MR. AVERAGE-CUSTOMER-PASSERBY'S TIME.
And of course, we now have 100X teh Daisy!
