I wouldn't call an updating Animal Crossing with online connectivity a port...maybe a sequel..

And just out of curiosity..do you guys remember the GBA launch?  What was it?  Mario Advance and F-Zero?  That sure was a blah launch, but I still loved getting my gba and playing my old gameboy games on it along with F-Zero.  Now I can get the DS and play my old games on it along with Mario64 whilst I wait for bigger and better things.

Paladin is right.  The screens on Nintendo of Japan's site suggest that Mario 64 DS has been changed significantly for this release.  New mini-games, four different characters (apparently with unique moves) to play through the main game with, noticeably improved graphics, and maybe even a new boss are shown in the screens.  Even if they've shown off 100% of the changes in the screens alone, the game is reasonably improved.  All that remains to be seen is how well it plays.

The system does need more first party games at/near launch: I probably won't buy one right away unless the reviews are astronomical.  But I will buy one when some of the other delicious games that I saw on Nintendo of Japan's site come out.  I think it will be a reasonable trade-off if Nintendo gets a significant head-start on PSP and gives us a consistent selection of new games instead of releasing a huge pile followed by nothing until next Christmas.

Edit: fixed miscellaneous errors.
That's my opinion, not yours.

Ms Pikmin, I'm just irritated at flamboyant ranting...I would have liked another Ninty or two as well but I'm not completely denouncing Ninty because of it...

The N64 launch all over, eh?  I wonder.  How cool would Pilot Wings 64 as a DS game be?  I'd buy it.

I think a Gran Turismo drifto game on PSP will make the general market forget about D.ouble S.upergameboy.

Who thinks reality is this sad?
