Topic: Light for a classic GBA?

I've been using a Traplight on my GBA for quite some time and loving it... the problem is that it blocks the cable port (not entirely, but to the extent that a GBA/GC cable is unusable). Usually when I do connectivity stuff I just take it off and sit near a lamp... but with Zelda 4 swords coming out that's not going to be an option (I don't have enough lamps for 4 players, and the ambient light in the room my cube is in is terrible).

So my question is, does anyone have a light solution (Afterburner notwithstanding) which I could use that doesn't prevent me from using a GBA/GC cable?

I believe I saw a GBA Light(the kind that is the width of the GBA) that had a pass-through port so you could use a GBA cable at a local electronics store, though I don't recall the name of it...

Just look around and you might find it too...

Considering how all these lights are long since reduced most places I've decided to acquire several of them and test...

The Gamester Trap Light, will having the external power source (excellent idea) has, as I said, blocked the port to the extent a GBA/GC cable won't fit in. Came free with my GBA, so I guess what do you expect.

Anyhow, my new attempt is with a Mad Catz "Light Grip". It uses the port, but has a passthrough on the top. The light is tremendously brighter and better than my old Trap Light, and provides much less glare. However, the geniuses who designed this thought the on-off switch for the light looked good on top of the thing, right next to the passthrough port. One can force a GBA/GC cable into it, but the notches that normally lock the cable in place switch the damned light to "off". Still, its excellent for single player (though I have not yet discerned what will happen to battery life)... and it only cost me $9...

I sometimes still use my old worm light when i had a  GBC to my classic GBA.

I'm going on a long ass car ride roundtrip and I need a light for my GBA original, not SP.  Does anyone have a light for their original gba and can give information about how good it is.  Or does anyone know of the best light for an original gba?  Note battery life is not really an issue unless it's very bad like less than 5 hours, and use of the cable while using the light is not an issue either.  thanks in advance

ok well I went and bought a light for my gbao and it sucked ass, so I returned it (bought it used its all Gamespot had) and I decided to sell my gbao because there was a special deal $30 off a SP for trade in.  So now I got the NES Series LM GBASP (IT RULES!!!)  and I picked up Double Dragon Advance.  Farfunuggen!!! I forgot you need a friggin adapter for headphones, thats a huge drag...

Does anyone know if there are headphone adapters for the GBA SP at retail stores???

I don't know if stores carry the official headphone adapter, but I've seen third-party offers that inlude an adapter.

There's another light that Gamester makes (the guys that made the Traplight). This one is black and has a mini flourescent tube. I had it with my GBA before I got an afterburner, and it worked very well...I believe it left the port open for you as well. It even flips down to protect the screen when you're not using it. I just can't remember the damn name....I think it was Flip Light or something like that.

the best light that is for GBA is the floodlight. The problem with it is that its bulky and (this might be a plus) the power is external. But it is the best lighting source probably.

I just bought a Pelican Sound Kit, it includes a headphone adapter that looks identical to Nintendos, and stereo headphones with a retractable cord! for just 9.99.  It's an excellent deal, high qualite'  Even Radioshack carries it hehe

Other than maybe some textbook versions of his stories throughout my school years, my eyes have never glanced at HP, they spend too much time looking at the SP.

Yeah, I have one of those...a Kobra Light, or something of the such, it's called...yeah, very useful, but the little thing breaks off of the other thing a lot...it doesn't really do anything, but kinda annoying, I think.

EDIT: Note it doesn't have its own powersource, I'm just referring to the fact that while being a great light, it also has a pass-through thing.

That's a shame, because Lovecraft is better than 90% of anything you could play on your SP, and much better than the SP itself if you ask me.

Well that's your opinion ofcourse, personally I don't like to read novels.
