Dearest Nintendo:
Oh, why do you tease me so?
You know, I get that you don't include on-line multi-player because you want to keep VC releases as "original" as possible. I disagree with that decision, but, whatever.
However, if you're wanting to keep the VC releases as "original" as possible, why do we not have any local multi-player in our 3DS downloads? I strongly and clearly remember having multi-player in my original Game Boy games. I remember sitting on the bus, playing Tetris against friends.
Some Game Boy games even have some pretty spiffy multi-player modes on them - like Pac-Man, which has a killer 2Player mode. I have ZERO intention of buying this game (do you know how many versions of Pac-Man I have?), but it would be an instant download for me and anyone I know with a 3DS *just* so I could make them play the multi-player mode if we happen to have time (oh, and how awesome is it that I wouldn't have to worry about the link cable?).
I'm not asking for on-line support. Even though I'd love it and even though third-rate emulators have been doing it for years. I'm simply asking for local multi-player - so that we can play our games the way we used to play them.
