I've had a great time with it.

I play every week or two with a group of people around New England. Relatively small area, but I've personally experienced little to no lag in those matches.

The 'with anyone' feature is a little tougher, with lag happening every now and then.  But it's an occasional problem, at worst.

I've especially loved spectating matches online, and those come in nice and fast, though I wish that far fewer of those matches were at final destination or other basic levels.

On the other hand, I really wish there was more customization available for online matches.  In particular, I feel like there's no way to really ramp up the amount of items falling during these matches (though this is a problem in non-online matches as well) to make the item battling totally insane, which is sometimes fun.  All in all, the brawling feels less absurd than in previous versions of the game.  I don't know if this is because I've not been sitting with the people I'm playing with and laughing, but it just feels more like fighting and less like madness (madness being my preference).

I think I've already eaten ants on a log 3 times in the first 6 days of the year.  So good call with that!

From scratch for us meaning that we're taking the most basic ingredients to cook with that we can get our hands on in almost every case.  Like, we're not going to make our own cheese (although we'll look for more natural versions of cheese), but we are going to make our own bread.  We will get the peanut butter from the store where you can just grind the nuts in the machine directly into a butter, since that's as basic as we can find.

I guess you could look at it as the vast majority of everything we eat starts with singular ingredients.

NWR,
My wife and I are starting a project this year in which we try making pretty much everything we eat from scratch at home.

As a gamer, I'd prefer not to be pulled away from my Wii into the kitchen constantly, so what are some things that you guys and girls make from scratch quickly at home?  I'm trying to think of foods that we can just grab real quick so I can get back to the rest of life.  I'd love to try recipes and food ideas from other Nintendo peoples.  I know Power Steak + Keel Mango is tasty, but what else?

Thanks!

Greg

PS if anyone wants to check out posts about how we're doing on the project, you can go to onewholeyear.com (I'm keeping that info down here since I'm looking for recipes, not a plug for my random site).

Did anybody out there download Pacman?  I love the Pac, but I can't play this thing at all.  The wiimote d-pad and the wavebird stick are both terrible options... I keep dying prematurely because neither will control anywhere close to a joystick.
Are there any joystick peripherals that work for the wii that anyone has tried?  Or has anyone played this with the classic controller?

Hey is there anywhere on the nintendoworldreport site where you can just see a list of all the virtual console reviews (or even better, just a list of whether they're recommended or not, and then a link where you can click through to the review for more info)?  Am I missing this somewhere?  I won't have my Wii for a couple months probably, and I'd like to go through and see the recommendations in an easy format then so I can blow all of my money, but not blow all of my money, if you know what I mean.
