 I don't understand...why does it matter? If you wanna play the Wii version with the gamecube controller, it's the same thing as playing the gamecube version with the gamecube controller. the entire difference is based on the freaking controller! the only other difference will be slightly improved visuals. i doubt it's much more than a little upgraded.

i'm sick of ppl defending this name. defend the console, the games, the controller all u want, but don't just accept anything nintendo throws at u just because u 'have to'.

the name simply sucks. say it a million times and it doesn't change how god-awful it is.

DOES IT NOT SOUND WiiTARDED YET?! lol xbox is a dumb name, yet it doesn't sound childish. playstation is actually not that bad a name. GAMECUBE is dumb too, but it looks like the most badass name on the planet next to the Wii....

some of u say that it's only the 'manly man' ppl that want the name different. uh no. it's anybody that has ears and a mind of their own. there are hundreds of thousands of other words..but they have to pick one that sounds so wrong ... and yes, they know the majority of the ppl don't like it, yet we have to do what nintendo says, we have to be nintendo and be so different. finally i realized i'm no longer defending nintendo. i wanna play the rev games, but honestly, i want them to fail misserably this gen now.

how can a diehard nintendo fan say this? well maybe cuz i'm sick of being let down like a boyfriend who's in love with someone, but keeps being cheated on and screwed by that same person.

sooner or later i need to put my foot down. when nintendo knows the majority of ppl don't like something, yet they do it anyway...it just such a slap in the face. cartridges over cds, little purple lunchbox design, no online (cuz it's not what gamers want...until they just up and change their minds), a cartoon looking zelda (i liked it too and looked past the graphics, but the majority wanted the spaceworld zelda), and now the 'wii'....i'm looking past so many others but it just bothers me a company is so high on itself, it's always trying so hard to be 'different' for whatever excuse.

being different isn't bad. trying to make it so obvious that you are 'different' is. i wish nintendo was 'one' person. i'd go find nintendo, and beat him/her till they could no longer think. cuz all thinking has done for them thus far is put them in a distant third in the console race.
