TalkBack / RE: Wii Internet Channel Now Available
« on: December 26, 2006, 03:37:25 AM »
valo via the net channel would be my killer app
but it takes too long to load.

also I just figured out if you press "2" in the net channel
it goes into SUPER-zoom, but compromises the original formatting of the site, and you still press "+" to zoom in further.

and + & -
raise and lower the volume
if you're listening to songs in Fotto Channel

back on topic
.: gmail works for me
.: youtube works most of the time
.: its glitched and sputtered and frozen thrice
.: It was the first thing I noticed and I'm still shocked at the loading times, blazing fast..

Woah, hold on there, leave some Wii's for the rest of us poor souls who haven't gotten one yet.

Wait until the Black one comes out... or something...
Haha haa

yeah, I planned to wait and get a black one next year, but if I can find another white one I might just cave in and get it!

I want cheap
easy to setup
and Windows Me compatible

thanks in advance

I've never taken a system online, but I'd like to chanege that with Wii

Nintendo Gaming / RE:That Internal Speaker...
« on: November 20, 2006, 05:50:03 AM »
the speaker is my favorite feature of the Wii

I don't know what the complaints of lofi and hi-volume are about..

it says in the manual how to change the volume
I didn't care to

Madden uses it extensively
the QB talks thru it
Madden himself gives advice or mocks you

WiiSports uses it well

Its about timing
and so far its never seemed out of place to me

but all ya'll seem to be complaining bout its use in Zelda
a game a don't own
so
mabye it suck in that
I don't know

In tandem with rumble
it provides unparalelled feedback
I personally can't wait to see how devs use it to enhance gameplay

WiiSports Tennis

closely followed by the Photo Channel

minigames in Monkeyball delight as well

I can't judge much else because I have only one nunchuk [and no wifi yet]

I was one the people who foresaw its appeal & the necessity to bundle it

I would've bought it for 50 so when I heard it was standard I felt like patting Nintendo on the back

Even tho I have Madden 07 and Monkey Ball [and they're wonderful in their own right]

My family keeps coming back to WiiSports

We actually need a 2nd Wii cause everyone wants to do different stuff
Tennis is about all we agree on

between multiplayer Tennis & the Photo Channel we've been playing nonstop

There's a party at my house tommorow, and noone coming knows about this secret weapon. WiiSports is sure to capture peoples hearts.

P.S. at first my 25 year old sister was mad at me for not telling the controls [cause she used to traditional videogames] and I was like, "You don't need buttons...just swing" . She ended loving it, specially the power-serve to earn aces.

mii or paladin?

I played

in short:

Excite Truck is unintresting, the controls grow, the graphics [on ET in perticular] are terribler than I imagined, my bro was undefeated in 4 races

Mii was surprising, I literally laughed out SEVRAL times, my mii looked like me [which I doubted was possible], I fell out at seeing the MICHAEL JACKSON Mii in the Plaza

I just stared at the system when I walked in..then I checked to see if it was using component cables, then I was thrown off by "sensor bar aiming"

all in all
the SYSTEM works
I'm still buying it at launch [with decent games I'm actually intrested in]

also I'm digging Wii Rumble
and the B button
and the size
of EVERYTHING

I could go on..

Honestly, the new video is the best graphics I've ever seen in my life. That accounts for framerate, particle effects, character animation, style, and cutscenes. The Full Walkthru is PS3-worthy at certain parts, and on average, beats most offerings on 360!

people are forgetting, or not noticing that, wiisports will sell systems...even more than a lower price would. As mentioned, WE are the niche market. We will account for only about 20 million consoles 5 years from now.

All of our families will tip the sales scale skyward. And its for two reasons: store walk-ins and houseguests. Someone already said that many shoppers will walk in and see the price (and whats included) and fork over cash for it. Its fully functional, and fun. Also, people who see us playing in our homes will join in and get a taste for the system. Eventually they'll buy it too.

What other game could do that? If you honestly think Zelda TP or ANY OTHER GAME could sell Wii, look no further than mainstream media coverage at E3. Did Spielberg play Zelda with Miyamoto-san? No

I can understand not wanting the higher tag, but if they resolved to do a pack-in THERE IS NO OTHER GAME THEY COULD HAVE CHOSEN.

I was actually hoping they wouldn't even give us a disc. It should just be built-in as a WiiChannel.

yeah I may have to wait till some games like Rayman, WarioWare, and Super Monkey Ball drop in price

I'll try to convince my family to buy their own controllers as well, or I'll only buy more remotes which is enough to play WiiSports together.

The game surprised me at e3, and the more I think about it, the more I think that Madden Wii is one of the most important launch games for Nintendo… if not THE most important.

find out why

I agree. Personally, I may only own this game for a few months to perfect my technique. And to my circle of friends this WILL SELL sytems. Afew of them are too scared to buy Wii at launch, so when they play this at my house they'll probably break down and get it.
