Ok, I was confused by the inner and outer spindles. Thanks for clearing that up.
Now could you explain how we're supposed to remove them?

Does anyone have any pictures of this being done.
Also I'm confused as to what "the center part" refers to... Can anyone be a bit more specific? Or provide detailed images?
I just came home with F-Zero GX and I sure would like to play it... =\

Nintendo Gaming / Why don't Nintendo fans like Fighting Games?
« on: May 25, 2003, 03:55:38 PM »
I really do wish that Microsoft would stop ramming money up Tecmo's ass so we could get a Dead or Alive fighting game...
I'm considering getting an Xbox just for the DOA series...

That rom of MQ was not ripped from the Bonus Disk. It was dumped by an insider from Nintendo. There are no N64 roms on the GCN MQ disk.

People wrote N64 emulators.

I'm not arguing the fact whether or not OOT can or cannot be emulated 'without issue', I'm arguing that the versions of OOT and MQ on the GCN have been ported and are not being emulated.

You know what's fun?
Knowing people with Nintendo GCN Dev stuff.
I can assure you that the GCN versions of OOT and MQ are ports.

Actually, OOT and MQ on GCN are ports.

Nintendo Gaming / What's this? Demo Disc only with purchase of GCN?

It's been removed from EBgames.com and all other websites as far as I can tell.

Several retailers I've called have told me that the GCN Demo Disc cannot be purchased seperately..
Websites have also gotten rid of the Demo Disc from their listings.

Yes, it is possible to do that. So anyone that wants to play online still can through a method called tunneling.

My source at Sega says that SADX has been finished for a few weeks now.

Why do you people seem to think that games are finished the day before their releases?
Sonic Adventure DX has been finished for several weeks now. It's improvements over it's Dreamcast predecessor include polished up graphics, inluding new models and textures. Sixty new missions. Twelve Sonic Game Gear games... Just to name a few.

Nintendo Gaming / Can i play GC on my computer?
« on: April 05, 2003, 11:06:53 AM »
I just remembered another avantage to running a console through a TV card. You don't have to deal with whether this or that game is progressive, they can all run through that connection.

You can't get progressive scan through a regular tv tuner card.
You'd need a HDTV tuner card, and those go for 300USD and up.

Guy, get a VGA cable, I got one and I only played Zelda on my 22 inch flatscreen crt, I refused to play elsewhere.
Though you don't have to worry about your game supporting progressive scan as long as your monitor supports 15khz refresh rates.

Gah.. I envy you guys.
Especially the ones that already have it.
The EB that I reserved mine at... sigh... resides in a mall that is in the middle of being demolished.
So now I don't know what I'm going to do. =\

They have been able to rip the data from Gamecube games by connecting a device between the disk drive and the mother board. Though they haven't been able to boot copied games on the Gamecube.
