Wow.  I hope that isn't faked.

Other forums noticed the big "On" in the Nintendo E3 cameras as well.  Looks like that wasn't faked.

Also, it won't be 15 minutes.  Especially if it is a closed-door meeting, it will take probably an extra hour for the news to get out.  Unless IGN is gonna post a massive update right at 10:10...

Well, it's not like WE created it.  Look around, well, just about every single video game forum/blog/whatever on the Internet.

I doubt it.  Especially IGN (Cube) has had so little coverage on GameCube.  It's like a joke.

This would all have to be way too coincidental for it to be fake.  I mean, IGN, GameSpot, and EVEN PGC aren't reporting anything of this firestorm of rumors/hype.  I mean, this IS big Nintendo news whether or not it is real.  Contrarily, IGN reported the Nintendo On video and was quick to call it fake.  So why did they post that rumor if they aren't posting these?  These rumors have to be at least 10x bigger than the random mockup.

I'm not sure whether you've seen this elsewhere, but it doesn't seem to be mentioned here.

You know, maybe ARIES is the final name for Revolution.  That would seem like a smart idea because all this hype surrounding the mysterious character "ARIES."

Yeah, that's what I thought.  Like 5/6/04 last year or something.

Oh well.  Star Wars time.

I didn't even think of that.  I'd have to agree with you.

I'm sorry if this has been reported here before (I've been following this all day, and I missed this).  These numbers make it way too good to be not true.  How is this possible, if it's false?

Quoted from Tuelho at http://mozlapunk.web-log.nl/log/2580479

Well, sounds idiot but makes a lot of sense to me.

In the "fake" movie, the counter gets a delay when reach the number 211 348 824, a friend of mine was thinking and joking and he found this interesting calc:

211+348+824 = 1383 [Result 1]

2+3+8 = 13
1+4+2 = 7
1+8+4 = 13
13*7*13 = 1183 [Result 2]

1383-1183 = 200 [Result 3]

1183/200 = 5,915
1383/200 = 6,915

Both results, in backwards:
5 19 5
5 19 6

Then I noticed a date stamp:
05/19/2005
05/19/2006

You can say 'bullshit' but I must remember that it is a puzzle XD

</endquote>

I'd have to say 5/19/2005 is the day they reveal more about Revolution (tomorrow) and 5/19/2006 will be the release date.

Interesting.

This IS a lot of fun.  If I weren't going to Star Wars tonight, I'd probably stay up all night working on it.  Hopefully there will be some more developments by the time I get back.  Some people have eluded to a Star Wars tie-in (maybe a Revolution trailer before the movie), but I find this unlikely.  One of my friends went to see the movie last night at an employee showing, and he didn't say anything about a trailer.

That Nintendogs picture is not something I'd stake my reputation on.  However real this whole deal may seem, I don't think that's the best piece of evidence available... Maybe NN knows something we don't?

btw...that Ares guy sure was throwing around alot of predictions...how many of them have come true so far?

Well, according to multiple sites:  http://nintendonow.com/ and http://mozlapunk.web-log.nl/ the Aries guy has been very reliable, and many are predicting is Reggie himself.  Weird.

I have to say, I don't think yesterday's show was a dissapointment at all.  I liked EVERYTHING I saw.  And I thought it was a lot of fun, too.  I was somewhat dissapointed that more Revolution details weren't announced, but that's the Nintendo life.  We will see if that changes tomorrow...

On a different note, the NintendoNow advertisement image has dissappeared from the NintendoNow homepage.  The story is still there, though.

The one thing that throws all of this off for me is, if Nintendo was working with Matt Cassamassina and IGN, why didn't IGN create a Revolution areas, like it created PS3 and Xbox 360 areas?  Perhaps this is all part of the plan - "to throw us off," but I took it more that IGN felt Nintendo wasn't going to show anything that warranted the creation of a seperate area from GameCube (like, for example, confirmation of a final name).

Check out the very final paragraph of this little section in the site.

Yeah, the early shots from the Nintendo Booth had a big neon blue sign saying "CLUB REVOLUTION"  Rember?

Wow.

If this isn't real, I'll be more impressed than if it is real.  Wow.

Also, IGN is reporting a power outage at the convention center.  http://cube.ign.com/articles/615/615881p1.html

Weird.

They were short little clips that seemed to be taken from a some kind of board meeting.  It had two different people discussing some kind of strategy about an imminent release, and then Reggie saying something like "Don't make me do it.  I'll take your name!"

The videos were part of the countdown to E3 flash that was available only before the pre-show started on Nintendo.com.  So I believe they're gone.

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Revolution = Official Name?
« on: May 17, 2005, 08:17:39 PM »
I don't remember any prototype that was available while Nintendo was still calling it Dolphin.

Also, revolution is so good of a name that the MSM is actually somewhat supporting Nintendo, despite the meager information available.  "Nintendo launches a Revolution."  "Nintendo out to Revolution-ize games."  "Join the Revolution, Nintendo says." --- etc.  Those are mainly made up but if you look around you'll certainly find a few similar titles and favorable stories.  Well, unless the coverage tomorrow is much different from the coverage today.

I watched those videos many times.  Why does "Thursday" have any significance?  Am I just not remembering the wordage used in the videos?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: First Revolution Picture! (Plus new details!)
« on: May 17, 2005, 03:32:27 AM »
Well a couple E3s ago, I seem to remember a company (cough, Sony) that said a certain system (cough, PS2) could do in the range of 110+ million polygons or something.  Nintendo, on the other hand, said GameCube could do (how many was it? I'm not sure the exact number... Nintendo must have done a good job convincing me that numbers aren't importatn) like 3-4 million polygons.  Everyone scoffed at GameCube's lack of apparent power.  But that didn't really matter.  When it came down to it, Nintendo underestimated its power and Sony VASTLY overestimated.  Although things DID turn out in their favor.

Plus, was it not Microsoft who Photoshopped a bunch of Xbox screenshots before it came out?

Nintendo Gaming / RE: Nintendojo says no hd games
« on: May 16, 2005, 09:06:05 PM »
Having no HD wouldn't be total suicide, but it would hardly facilitate any kind of "revolution."  Not forcing HD is a good idea, though.  40 HD games for 360 launch?  I'll believe it when I see it...
