Nintendo Gaming / RE:Is the Wii remote really so unreliable in Zelda: TLP?
« on: December 10, 2006, 05:34:46 AM »
The only problem I have had is using the spinning attack with the nun-chuck. I can't get it to work sometimes, but I have had zero problems with the Wiimote.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:What's the best bundle/deal for the DS Lite?

You know I have always found the best place to buy a system is at Game Crazy. You get 12 free rentals from Hollywood video, and that add's up.

Nintendo Gaming / Rev controller copy PPC emulation?
« on: July 22, 2005, 01:06:37 AM »
I have been thinking about how the revolution controller could play all the past console games and I came up with an idea. If anyone here has ever used super nintendo emulation on a pocket PC you will know what i am talking about. You emulate a snes controller on your touch screen and use it to play. If the REV controller was to use a touch screen, this could be one of the ways it could be done, although you would need some kind of friction on the pad to make it would for games that require complicated pad movements (fighting, platforming). Just my 2 cents.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Wireless Controllers as Standard Next-Gen

Something makes me think that a retracable cord could not pull 5 pounds or more of console weight.... Unless dev's are thinking of doubling it as some sort of rock climbing equipment or grapling hook! Maybe thats the revolution!

We need a pokemon MMORPG. IT WOULD WORK SO WELL. Every player is a trainer, the land can be split into zones. Certain zones have certain pokemon spawn in random places on random spawn timers. Then you could catch them. Instead of finding phat l3wt you find phat pokemon. Trainers could then dual each other. Badges would be like keys into higher level zones. There could be random serverwide events based off the movies.  WE NEED IT NOW!

"For $100 my brother got a platinum GCN with 2 platinum Nintendo controllers, Mario Kart double dash, a black mad catz controller, a mad catz memory card, and an extention cord."

The gamecube didnt always come with that. Yes you can now get one for that much but not months after launch.

If they use the GBE for Gamecube Ports it means that the DS will be used for the 2d gaming.

I think everyone is possibly speculating wrong. They are not going to make the gamecube portable, but instead make a system as powerful into a handheld. Its going to be like the PSP. It will not play gamecube games, but Nintendo will be able to get 3rd parties because it will be easy to port Gamecube games to the evolution with upgraded multiplayer ect. Nintendo has already taken this approach many times. Nintendo would not make an opportunity for great wireless multiplayer and then put a bunch of game out that wont support it. They are gunna port GC games. Save themselves time, make lots of money, get more 3rd parties.

I was a gamecube fanatic and I ended up buying an xbox. Why? Because it was cheaper to buy a 150 dollar system that game with 2 sweet games and never needs a memory card then to buy one that was 100 and came with none. I think nintendo really needs to spend some money and get some new 2nd party dev's and buy back some 3rd parties. MS has proved with Bungie that it is worth it to give your second parties unlimited time and resources and nintendo needs to do it to. Nintendo also needs a succesfull online strategy, that i just dont believe is possible with the gamecube. I really am excited about the new nintendo system. If they can get a HD and succesful online strategy, focus on a new marketing process and get back the 3rd parties, they can take back the console war.
