Nintendo Gaming / RE:is gamecube for me?

Thanks again for the replies, I guess for the money I can't go wrong with the gamecube...that $149 deal seems reasonable.  I have to verify that the deal also includes mario kart along with super monkey ball..thanks again..

Hey gang, thanks for the advice..I've been out of the loop for too long I guess...

The GameCube doesn't have the most support from third-party studios like Capcom, Konami and Electronic Arts, but it still has a reasonable selection, and I think Nintendo more than makes up for it with it's own quality games

Thats kind of what the salesman said...ps has the most 3rd party support but almost every game that nintendo produces is good vs about 70% for sony (not counting 3rd party games).

Another plus for the nintendo is you can actually get them.  The salesman says that they just came out with an updated ps2 and he just got 4 of them in and there is a waiting list about 40 people long...basically the people that will buy the biggest bundle of accsy's gets the ps2..

Ok, thanks again for the advice.

Nintendo Gaming / is gamecube for me?

Hey gang, an EB game store opened up next to my office.  I'ts been years since I had played my ps (first generation) and have always enjoyed gaming..So I stop in and talk to the guy, says that he has the gamecube on sale for $99 including mario kart.  Says that its (in his opinion) the best game currently available for the gamecube..also has a pkg which includes super monkey ball an extra control pad, 2 extention cables, a memory card and some other stuff for $149.

My question is, Im almost 40 years old and I've always heard that the Nintendo systems are mostly oriented towards youngsters.  Do you think I would be better off with the Playstation?  The salesman says the xbox is the worst of the bunch and that a lot of the games that are available on the ps are also available for the gamecube...Any advice would sure be appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
