Nintendo Gaming / RE:Another Controller Secret to be Revealed
« on: December 03, 2005, 06:36:12 AM »
I consulted Negrodamus, and after our conversation it is very clear what the secret is.....Two controllers can be connected together at the "butt" for the single purpose of playing as Darth Maul. Suspense over.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:My Game that wasn't feasable before the controller

I don't see how the controller makes this idea any more feasable?

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Revolution a lost battle?

All this complaining about graphics power and all that is just ridiculous.  When Nintendo comes out with games, they quickly become classics.  Go dig out your NES and play some of those games for awhile...take note of how freakin fun those games are...then do the same with the SNES and maybe even the N64.  All you naysayers can sell out and go grab a PS3, as for me I will be sitting around putting 1000 hours on the next installment of Mario Kart.  If the games will only be 2-3 times "prettier" but just as fun, then I'm sold.

Also, on a side note, think of the inevitable rising costs of the new "interactive movies" that other platforms will have.  With graphics like those, their development time for games will increase exponentially.  "yea, I can't wait for the new ___________________ to come out in 2011."

General Chat / RE:What a Freakin Deal

Yea, I could see the possibility of feeling dirty, except the girl at Best Buy was basically telling me to do that exact thing.  Apparently they know that is how it is gonna work and don't care.  I would bet they still make money after its all done because half the people probably never use it if they buy it.  Who knows.  Fun for me though, and MP2 is amazing.  Oh, and i've got a duplicate of mariokart for sale if anyone wants it. Ha.

General Chat / What a Freakin Deal
« on: November 21, 2004, 07:44:03 PM »
I was writing this post earlier and something went terribly wrong, so if it pops up twice I'm sorry.  I bought my Cube in summer of '03 when they offered it at Best Buy for $150 with Windwaker, a demo disc, and some crappy starter kit.  The chick at the checkout talked me into buying a 2 year product replacement plan, saying I could bring the cube back anytime within the two years and get full money back. This weekend they put a platinum cube on sale with 2 Nintendo brand controllers and Mariokart DD boxed in for 99 bucks.  I decided to see if the trade in deal would work and what do you know, they traded my cube for a voucher totalling 162.89.  They didnt want the free Windwaker game that came with it or the demo or crappy controller, just the cube.   So I grabbed the platinum cube deal for 99 and picked up MP2:Echoes with the extra 50 I had on the card.  All in all, I got a Cube, 3 controllers (although one is crap), Zelda Windwaker, Mariokart DD, Metroid Prime 2, and a demo disc for a hundred and fifty bucks.  I would suggest that anything you ever have to buy from Best Buy again that you know will eventually have a significant price drop, get that dang 2 year replacement plan.  Well worth it.  Try it out.

Here's the 10 second summary for those who don't wanna read the crap: Best Buy+2 Yr. Replacement plan= way to screw the system.
