I would like to see a return of the speed dash.  Not like the ones in Fusion and Zero Mission either.  More like the one from Super Metroid.  Like when you're walking, holding the "B" button would cause the screen to start blurring and shaking.  Samus' moving speed would increase, and the color from the screen would fade out except for things that can be affected by the dash.  Potential hazards like pitfalls and such would be outlined in red, making the dash a lot less difficult to pull off.  The stop-dash jump could be achieved by simply letting go of the Control Stick and the "B" button.  The energy built up will stay there for a few seconds (indicated by an onscreen timer or bar.)  You could then use this time to say, target special beacons made for dash jumping or manually target and let Samus fly!  Don't kill me....

WOW, that's pretty cool.  I just tried it out.  I wonder what it's for.....

I haven't seen any from Hori, but I have two from Pelican.  They're great.  $9.98 each.

Who wants to bet that if the DS does good, the next Gameboy will be a GBA cart that connects to the DS and adds more power...... or is that just wishful thinking on my part.......

Pikmin could be run on the DS.  Reduce the number of Pikmin to 50, use sprites for enemies and Pikmin.  I don't see where it couldn't be done.

Just thought of some more.

ShadowGate.  And not that N64 type stuff.  A new adventure using the old method: point and click baby!

DDR:  It would work.  I just wouldn't play it in public.

Jet Set Radio.  That would be awsome.  Making your own graffiti would be the best ever.  And they could go back to the old way of spraying graffiti by the player controlling the spray with the touchscreen.  The soundtrack would probably suffer a little but not too much.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Pokemon "Ideal"?

What I would like to see is a return of the "connectivity" aspect.  Now before you get your flame gear on, hear me out.
Nintendo could implement a system of sending and relaying information through the GBA, or more preferably, the DS.
Since you really wouldn't be able to pause the game (if this were a MMORPG) the DS with it's two screens would work wonderfully (IMO.) You could receive messages on one screen and have a map, Pokedex, Pictochat, or anything else Nintendo would decide to implement on the other.  And since the bottom screen is a touch screen, menu navigation would be a breeze.  Hell, you could even have voIP and a buddies listor something to let people communicate over long distances (gamewise that is.)

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Super Smash Bros DS, Can it be real??

How would the controls be that much harder?  Double tap the d-pad to run, have "A" jump, "B" normal attacks, "X" specials, "Y" pick up/ throw.  Smash attacks would be done by pushing attack and direction at the same time.  For instance:  normal special: HOLD direction and push button.  SMASH special: TAP direction and button at the same time.  But then again....I don't know.

Nintendo Gaming / Eternal Darkness DS?

Think about it.  With the DS's enhanced graphical power over the GBA, not to mention the dual screens, touch screens, and WIFI, it seems like it could done.  ED started on the N64, and if Silicon Knights still has any of the old code left, they could port it over or, better yet, create an all new adventure using the abilities of the DS.  Imagine some of the puzzles and insanity effects that could be done.  FOR EXAMPLE:

Ougia board puzzles, fake battery alarms/power offs, launching picto-chat with creepy messages or even voice recog puzzles, pictures that suddenly appear and dissapear from one screen to another.

There are more but it's late.  Please tell me I'm not the only one excited about the possibilites...
