General Gaming / Powerboard Problems

Hello,
I recently bought a Powerboard for Phantasy Star Online. It works fine for a few minutes but after a while I begin to experience what I call "typing lag". I'll start to type and it'll either take a few minutes to appear on the screen or skip most of what I'm typing and begin displaying half spelled words. It seems to happen both online and offline, so it can't be my connection to the net. I've tried switching from port 2 to port 3, and it doesn't seem to fix the problem. Any ideas on what could be the problem or a solution?
