Component cables are only available from Nintendo because they have a DAC (digital to analog video conversor) inside.
It gets the digital video signal from the game cube ( it's the japanese HDTV standart) and generates the 480i or 480P if the game supports it.
And since I'm in Brazil, i can't buy one
