Nintendo Gaming / RE:Question about MM
« on: February 13, 2004, 05:24:55 AM »
Majora's Mask doesn't contain any spoilers from Ocarina of Time, although the game sometimes refers to OoT. But if you've come as far as to the Shadow Temple, you've practically seen everything in OoT; but of course some elements are repeated; the Gerudo Fortress sneaking business returns in MM, and so do a lot of things.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Zelda: Wind Waker was it a let down?
« on: February 06, 2004, 08:26:30 AM »
I didn't consider Wind Waker a letdown, although I much more prefer Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask.
People have complained about the graphic style, but that isn't a concern for me; cartoons are great and so is Wind Waker. The only thing I find bad in Wind Waker is the sailing. There and back again, as Bilbo Baggins would say.
Set the right direction, get the sails up, wait for enemies to pop up, kill them and finally you're there. This is repeated umpteen times. The distance between islands really could have been shorter.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Is Animal crossing for everyone?
« on: February 06, 2004, 08:19:26 AM »
Well, it depends on if your sister has got some patience or not. Animal Crossing is truly I game that demands
patience of the player (not everyone seems to be okay with fishing, talking and doing errands, knowing that there actually isn't much more to it, than that).

Animal Crossing is also a game that really should be played quite regulary; otherwise cockroaches move into your house and stirr things up a little.

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Worst GCN Games of ALL Time
« on: February 06, 2004, 08:10:58 AM »
I know that a lot of people will disagree with me right now as you read this reply, but I have to confess to  you I was extremely bored with Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem. I bought it cheap, but it wasn't even worth that price. I had heard a lot of spookiness about the so called insanity effects; a sudden fake restart of the Gamecube, making the player roar in anxiousness. At least that's what my least favourite reviewer said in one of Sweden's largest gaming magazines. He gave it a 9 out of 10. Personally I'd give it a 2 or 3 if I'm to be nice.
These insanity effects are the reasons to why I hate this game. Me and a friend of mine played through the whole adventure and all we did was laugh. Laugh, laugh and roaring in laughter.

But alas, games such as Star Wars: Rogue Squadron II, Pikmin and Mario Party 5 haven't really entertained me either.
