General Gaming / GameCube Busted..... any suggestions??

It's a stretch, i know, but maybe someone can help...
My basement flooded last night (Damn winter!) and left my game cube immersed in about a half inch of water for a while. I woke up and realized this, and took it upstairs to dry. So i let it dry for a few hours, then plugged it in and fired it up. It works initially, but it makes a high pitched whistling sound that gets lower and lower (like a bomb dropping) and then craps out at a certain point. After this, it won't work at all for a few minutes, but if i give it a break it will do the same thing again.
Does anyone know what this might be??
