"Gamecube loads games faster than xbox"

Xbox has more content, high resolution textures, higher polygon models...

Hostile Creation "And never trust someone with monkey in their name. . . unless infernal is in it, too. Nevermind. "

It's Teckmoney...learn to read...could be the reason why your vision is skewed.

thecubedcanuck -- True Crime is entertaining. Sure the load times get annoying but its a fun game and the cut scenes are funny as hell. I'm sorry, but i didnt like GTA...hate to disappoint you all.

OK for one...Those cheap DVD players suck, they are no where near the quality of standards id even consider. Ive known people who have bought that apex crap and the motor failed. Secondly. what is wrong with the nforce chipset architecture? its fast, its efficient and it seems to be doing a great job. Kudos for ati incorporating artx or whoever, but nvidia is also incorporating 3dfx technology. PLaystation 2 didnt revolve everything around a central cpu...instead they used multiples which made it difficult to program for. Anyways..its not hardware that makes a great looking game, its the engine chosen and thats what makes things easy to program.

so what if nintendo sells enough units to keep up with the high rollers of the game console industry...now that they may have sold millions of gamecubes...where is the game library to back up all those hungry gamers? theres only so many metroid and marios ya know. I went to best buy to see what game i wanted next...i really didnt see any : (
After playing zelda i need to spill some virtual blood : )

I forgot that we are all insiders and receive financial information from bill gates directly himself...o wait, you stay home and play yyour game cube all day. If you know how much bill gates is worth, accepting the losses early to build game support early for xbox 2 will be why xbox 2 will be great. Im not siding with any system...its just the xbox strategy as i can see.

The point i was trying to make was that everyone insists on innovation as nintendo's ideal claim to faim. They arent innovating their hardware! Just the looks! The internals of gamecube should have been more than they are. Im not dogging the cube..its great. Too bad when they made the Ati graphics chip ati wasnt AS good as they are now and microsoft already had nvidia. I like nvidia just b/c they are some insanely fast chips. Ati however has gotten good, but its rumored Microsoft is going away from nvidia...so maybe nintendo will snag them. n64 used ati chip...gamecube did...im guessing they will stick to ati if they are smart b/c next ati chip will be awesome. Microsoft has 46 bil $$ supporting it, it isnt going anywhere. Bill gates will accept the losses now to make the xbox 2 magnificent. At the beginning xbox didnt have the best game support...now that bill gates has support, the xbox 2 will launch big time. we all have opinions and view points...dont dog one over another.

Nintendo may be making great sales in UNITS, but most definately their numbers are hurting. Just b/c you sell tons of units doesnt mean youre doing a great thing. You could just be clearing massive storage building full of gamecubes that would never sell unless they have a dramatic price reduction. Woopty hoo..i like my recent purchase of a GC, but nintendo HAS to be hurting.

Nintendo is able to make their system dirt cheap mainly because it cant be used as a dvd player. xbox and ps2 keep their prices b/c they are also dvd player and my xbox is a very good one at that...which competes almost better than my sony dvd player. Nintendo tries to innovate, but they are dumb i think. They ALWAYS want to be different instead of tried and true conformity. Honestly, how can you make a game nowadays...with CG, FMV movies...as well as high resolution game content and SLAM it all on a 1.5 gig disk? I don't think you can. Heck, most pc games require that much install space or more. I still like playing my xbox just to see a lot of movies and stuff, something that i have not seen on any GC games ive played (not a whole lot sinse a lot are either party or kid games) Their sales were first hurt by the *fruity* color when it launched which led many college students and teen - adult gamers away and labeled it strictly a kids toy. For a company who recycles SO many of its old franchise games...nintendo should try to focus on older folk like me (21 years old) who used to play the old franchise games when they first started. blah blah blah im tired of typing : )

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Metroid Bonus Disc
« on: December 11, 2003, 02:08:05 PM »
Super metroid was the only one i actually beat...it seemed the nes one was always too hard!...but then again i was 10 years younger too when i last played it..maybe more..kid icarus would be tight...but compared to todays standards...i dont think an angel dude would be too successful. How about Captain N the game master video game haha. now how about an actual, high budget 3d CONTRA game! Gore galore too! that would rock!

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Best (not a boss or mini-boss) fight in WW?
« on: December 10, 2003, 04:34:40 AM »
Shark island WAS CRAZY!! all for what...200 rupee!?! man, i thought it was the end of the game or something...i didnt know the sign on the island was true haha...but yeah...there were a lot of dudes there..that where i got the rest of the knight crests that i needed..it was truely a slug fest there, i nearly died..i was surprised the frame rate didnt hit 0 i had so many monsters onscreen. thats the most intense fight in the game bar none. OH yeah, the first time that giant Squid popped out of the water,..i thought that was pretty cool.as for the scariest fight...its small...but those things in the Earth dungeon...the undead things that scream at you..hahah those things freaked me out!

Nintendo Gaming / RE:Should i get Wind Waker?
« on: December 10, 2003, 04:29:09 AM »
I got a GC thxgiving...and i started playing WW also...IT WAS TOO SHORT! goodness, i think i spent more time onthe first zelda...but WW was awesome, boss fights were too easy though. Remember the first zelda, and the first boss only took 3 whacks of your sword? thats kind of how they are in this game. Target and kill. I dont think i died once, and i hardly consider myself a 3d zelda pro. the game was fun, made me laugh, and just kept me entertained...everything that a good game sohuld do. I recommend this game merely as a rental or borrow...if you buy it beat and sell it however...u might be hurting to play it again sometime down the road b/c...duh..thats what real zelda nuts do! why do you think they have the zelda collector disc? cus a buncha us dummies sold our n64 and nes and are now hurting to play the old zelda games...we are blessed now though!

Nintendo Gaming / RE:In need of cheap gamecube component connector
« on: December 10, 2003, 04:22:39 AM »
480i may be normal tv, but newer tv's support the progressive scan, so the picture is more like...well a picture...interlaced lines are pretty much non visable and pixel crawl on the edges of polygons and whatever is on screen is nicer.  I play True Crime: Streets of LA on my xbox with the progressive scan 480i mode...and damn...it looks REALLY good. Other than the fact that xbox games mostly run at 640x480...the resolution difference is still quite nicely noticable! HDTV's are more and more affordable! best buy and circuit city BOTH have credit cards with 18 months no interest...which means...but a tv at best buy and surround dsound system at circuit city : ) Instant heaven in your college aapt. bedroom !!! i love it. you can pick up 27 inch hdtv for around 500-600 and even cheaper online..i bought a panasonic 32" hdtv for $800 and its a pimpin set!

haha, i say cheap because i dont like paying f'in $50 for cables that i probably wont notice the difference with lol...i bought the ones on the nintendo site...what i dont understand is why stores dont carry the darn things? youd figure more and more people are buying hdtvs....instead of dang svideo composites...its frustrating!!! i played through zelda with composite! im furious!! anyway i hope my cables come in tomorrow!!  : )
