Nintendo Gaming / Metroid Magmoor Cavern Help.

I have the similar problem. It's in Magmoor. I'm trying to get through a room with spewing hot lava. I heard there might be a way to freeze it but I haven't come across that freezing weapon if it's true. This room also has several rock platforms that he jumps on to get thru the hot room. But I can never get thru the room cause the heat drains my energy to 0.
