Nintendo Gaming / ps3/xbox to get crush by GC2?
« on: June 29, 2003, 01:04:31 PM »
Nintendo was the first and it shall be last. I don't think we'll be seeing a Game Cube 2 soon, I think Nintendo is going to try to build on it more. It's still a great console! I'm guessing we won't see another system from Nintendo for at least another 3 years. As for the Xbox 2, I think it will be a huge failure! Microsoft has jumped into the gaming industry too fast. I'm sure that the Xbox 2 will take until the end of 2005 to finish. But Microsoft is a major corporation, so if they pull it off, I'll be surprised. And the new PSX coming out (yes it's called PSX not PS3) sounds pretty nice. But the design is the worst. It can stand on it's side, but you have to have the top clear so you can slide disks into it. EGM thinks of it as a toaster. LOL! And with these Game/DVD/CD burner combinations, I think they won't have anything to add to the next console! They have to save some of the ideas for the future. I know Nintendo will do this. They are only a video game company. They did not plan to have combination systems, and I doubt they will. Well, let's hope for the best!

Nintendo Gaming / Younger gamers and the gaming industry

Well actually, I am only 12. But I strongly disagree with you people. I do not base games on their graphics...and I don't have people buy me my own games. I have to buy my own. I love the gaming industry and don't wanna start an argument or anything, but why does this thread exist? The Doc must be wanting to start something. By the way I agree with ya Plugabugz.

Nintendo Gaming / Animal Crossing 2

I would like to have the new Animal Crossing to be compatable with the GCN keyboard. I have one because I used to play Phantasy Star Online, and now I have nothing to use it on! If you could use it with AC2, I think it would help write letters....

Pikkcuber, that would not be Animal Crossing...that would be WW2...with really bad graphics!

I wouldn't mind them taking the game in a slightly different direction by offering brand-new locales that would affect game conditions.  Imagine a town that is in the arctic or a town located outside of a jungle.  You could also have a suburb that's located outside of a city or even an Asian-themed town.  And an option to "move" to another town would be cool.  I figure that you guys get the point though.

I agree with you on that. The fact that you have to get it in and out whenever you play is very boring and time consuming. I hate it! I can't see how Nintendo likes that idea so much. It is pretty dumb. Also I think moving to another town would be cool, it might mess up some aspects of the game though. I can't think of any at the moment. LOL! I'm very sleepy....

Yeah, they're cool but I've seen em before. I like the one that lets you walk on the bottom of the ocean floor.

Animal Crossing 2 is very very very far away from being released, but I want to know what you think should be in it. I know that everybody would like online play, but what else? Do you think it would be cool to run your own buisness? Imagine what Nintendo could do! Tell me what you'd like to see in the new Animal Crossing. Also, do you think Nintendo would be able to get online play to work the right way? See, I'd like to be able to have your online buddies live in the same village. Also I think you should be able to build your house in any acre. Now wouldn't that rock? C'mon! You know ya want it! Okay, just tell me what you think Nintendo could do with this sequel. More insects? Fish? A shopping mall? Customizable characters? I could go on and on. So what do you want?

Nintendo Gaming / The new Pokemon Game for GCN
« on: May 05, 2003, 03:45:38 PM »
The new POKeMON game for Game Cube should definately not be another POKeMON Stadium. I wish Nintendo would make a POKeMON game with online capatability and a offline version. It would have to work with both the modem and broadband adapter. I don't think Nintendo really needs to charge money for a subscription to an online account. I mean, Nintendo has enough money already. I think you should be able to make your character. Chose from a boy or girl with hundereds of different faces. I think you should be able to chose everything about your character all the way down to the blood type. It would be cool to have a microphone attached to the controller so you can bring up a chat menu whenever you press Z. Then you'd use the D-pad to select whoever you want to talk to. You'd have to be close to them to talk (as in real life). You would be able to make your own POKeBALLS with a machine and sell them at POKeMARTS, to your friends, or anyone! At POKeMARTS you should be able to buy new clothes.
I think it should also have a message board you can get to using your Game Cube. I think it should be monitored though. The PSO message boards were not much of a success. It should have a lobby you can go to like in PSO. But the game should not make you go to it every time you connect. Things you could do in the lobby are download things, and chat. The game should take you to the last place you saved (I think you should be able to save anywhere). I think you should be able to set up camp and camp with a friend too. The game should have an email system that lets you email trainers whenever you want even if they aren't online as long as you have their trainer card (a trainer card would be like a guild card in PSO). That way if you friend isn't online, but you still want to keep in touch, than he/she can still get your message.
It would be 3D and cel shaded of course. I think you would be able to battle in real-time and not that boring RPG stuff (meaning it would have Zelda type controls). The POKeMON game would have to have multiple legendary POKeMON. That way everyone can have one. That would be hard to do. Maybe they could take the legendary POKeMON out. That would be good. It would be easy to introduce new POKeMON to the server. Also, you should be able to download different types of POKeBALLS. The game could come with some sort of face scanner that would put the shape of your face in the game. It would not have any of the details such as eye color or hair though.
If you have any cool ideas about the game that I didn't mention, please email me: CLICK HERE I'd like to hear your ideas. Please don't email me if it's not about POKeMON for GCN. Sorry this post was so long.
