General Chat / Bands
« on: May 10, 2003, 02:54:43 AM »
Less than Jake are great , I cant wait for some new stuff. Also  - good respect for the Beatles. I think my favorite band at the mo' is Save Ferris! Nothin' too heavy for me, Eagles, letters to cleo, and you've got to give it up for Michael Jackson. And I'm also proud to admit theres something about Avril that just does it for me.

Nintendo Gaming / SP screen "shadow"
« on: May 10, 2003, 02:32:23 AM »
I'm from the UK and bought my SP from 'Game' and mine seems to be working fine but maybe it only happens in certain games (games that have black on white text or the other way round) and I just dont have one of those games. I wouldn't surprise me if there are good and bad batches though - one of my mates release date PS2's was really dodgy(I got mine a month or so after and it's working fine), I'm not going to rush out and get any first batch of anything in the future just to be on the safe side.

Nintendo Gaming / Front light & foreign plugs
« on: May 09, 2003, 02:30:26 AM »
I've got an SP and didn't have the original GBA so i was wondering if people with both could answer my question. Is the SP with the front light switched OFF representative of the GBA all of the time as it has no light? If it is then I am so glad I waited for the SP!

And another thing, i'm from England and i'm planning to go to Austria at the end of the month - just want to make sure that it's ok to charge up my SP with a plug adaptor? im not too concerned, I was able to charge up my camcorder in Holland but I thought I'd ask just incase there this big no,no that i haven't seen.

Thanks

Nintendo Gaming / I need a new game?
« on: May 04, 2003, 10:04:33 AM »
I just got an SP a few days ago and I didn't have the original GBA, thus only one game to my name (sonic advance 2). Can anyone recommend the next game I buy? 'pick up and play'/arcade type games are my type of thing (no rpg's thank you, nothing against the genre mind you, just not my cup of tea)

Any offence thrown my way about my lack of gameing knowlege or gba experience will be taken with a smile

Nintendo Gaming / sonic advance 2
« on: May 03, 2003, 02:59:15 AM »
I've only been playing Sonic Advance 2 for a couple of days now, (great game, really reminds me of my past) so i can't really help you answer your question, haven't tried to get the emeralds yet. But whats with Dr. Robotnik changing his name to Dr. Eggman? maybe it happend in another version of Sonic that I missed, havent played any sonic since the mega drive, so forgive me if i'm asking a really stupid question.

Nintendo Gaming / sweaty hands?
« on: May 02, 2003, 07:06:50 AM »
I would consider myself to have average size hands too but I think you're right about holding it with just your fingers touching - i've just tried it out. I think i was smothering it with my hands! thanks for the help.

Nintendo Gaming / sweaty hands?
« on: May 02, 2003, 06:20:25 AM »
I think it's pretty normal for your hands to get a little sweaty when your playing on the SP, (otherwise i'm a freak and shall consult my doctor!) but is anyone else conserned about damaging it through moisture(sweat) getting into the SP? Maybe it's just because i've just purchased mine and are a little too protective of it. I'm sure nintendo planned for sweaty hands but i'd like to hear what people think?
