I think that Nintendo NS is an operating system. It will launch on a handheld first, then be ported to Wii U, and Holiday 2017 we will get a new home console. Think about it. Iwata said a long time ago that they wanted to make a new platform where they make one game for all their platforms, allowing them to make more hardware (tablets, VR/AR units, mobile phones, handhelds, consoles...). This is to address a problem they had this generation: keeping a steady flow of games. The Wii U MIGHT not be included in this, but logically it doesn't make sense not to -- AND doing so will help with making sure we keep our downloaded games on our Wii U's to the NX. Also explains the "Marcvh 2017" release date.

Nintendo Gaming / question about nintendo's processor.
« on: August 26, 2007, 07:10:06 AM »
now i know the wii does not have the graphical power of the 360/ps3 -- and nor do i care. i enjoy my wii, love wii play -- and those aren't graphical games. however, i have said in other forums and want to say it here (just to see if anyone here has something to add to it). I believe the wii to have a IBM PowerPC G4 processor. It is believed that the Wii has a 700-900 mhz processor, which is what the G4 was clocked at. And one person added that the G4 was a hot processor -- and that Nintendo would go with a G3 for cooling reasons. However, the Wii gets hot and hot quick....

It would still could be based off the GCN hardware, too, because the G4 was the successor to the G3. I have no facts or links, but I just believe thats what Nintendo used. Doesn't really effect anything, but i would like to see if you guys have any thoughts for/against this theory.

NintendoNow.com is a fan site that has a non-free forum. But I can't think of any others.

There are few good Nintendo fan sites out there, but among the best, this has to be one of the best. I read your silicon knights interview, then bounced to the review section and read your RE4 Wii Version review. The authors creditability to some readers would be in question, since this is a Nintendo fan site -- of course he will give it a 9.5! But then he added, and even gave a link to prove the point, that he  hated the game at first. Which builds his creditability to people like me, who is an English major and even to the people who are just looking for a reason to down the Wii.

Oh, I am not finished. Most, if not all, Nintendo fan sites have free forums -- but this one has the very best forums a site could provide. So, I do give you guys applaud. ANd I look forward looking around on the forum, but not sure just how much I will post/reply -- not a huge forum person.
