Hey, we're getting Spore, so I'm not complaining. It's also not hard to understand someone like Will Wright would love the Wii. Wright's games were never about pushing graphics, but new gameplay and ideas.

A low price and a damn good game sounds good to me.

Gamesradar has a couple of new screens and I must say, I'm pretty impressed with the progress! Plenty of shots of Llyod in action as well.

I still think they could do more work on the shadows, but it looks like they're using bump mapping on the rock walls in one of the screens (image number 6). Either that or they spent tons of polygons on the cliff. The metal shaders look pretty solid as well.

My guess is that if this is true, it will most likely release on the Wii.

Well considering only the Dreamcast and Gamecube saw the original, I'm going to say...

...that Sega will pull a Sega and make it 360-exclusive...

Actually I was thinking if it doesn't release on Wii, it will be a PS2 exclusive and release late 2008.

It'll probably be a cell-phone game.

Reviewers/Editors hate Nintendo but love Miyamoto. And unlike Twilight Princess, Galaxy seems to be a significant departure from its predecessors and that has to count for something, right?

First of all, huh? They hate Nintendo but love Miyamoto? You're saying TP isn't a Miyamoto game? A lot of reviewer hate Miyamoto and Nintendo. You hate one, you hate the other.

Second of all, the SMG will get slammed for being too different and ruining the formula. Like adding bikes to Mario Kart will ruin the series because it's something different. It'll also get slammed if it's too familiar.

Why bother to even link to gamespot and 1up at all? The fact that we're linking and posting their stuff's only giving them attention. Plus, just cause it's a glowing preview doesn't mean a thing. They could just get some idiot to play the game for 5 minutes and then give it an 8.5 for lack of innovation or some crap.

Thanks man. Unfortunately, they kind skipped out on most of the questions. They did tackle the issue of lighting so I'm happy about that. I honestly think the building themselves could benefit from some form of lighting rather than the same old gouraud shading.

Hey Arbok... I've been thinking. The game is heavily underrated in terms of visuals. Trust me, they are pushing quite a few VERY nice special effects on the Wii. I'm not kidding about it being the most technologically advanced, but it seems that the average joe has no idea what they're seeing. Do you think it's possible that you can get me in contact with someone in charge of the graphics (or someone in PW who knows the visual effects) for an interview for Tohokingdoms? Simon Strange is out of the question since he told me through PM he's no expert in that department. I'll PM you through your Tohokingdom account again, and if you're interested, give me a reply and I'll give you more details on what I have in mind.

There are more screens there, but Star Get was what we all wanted to see, I'm sure.

So... 90% of the population's dead, and we having a war to speed up human extinction? COOL!!!!

C-c-c-combo breaker!

On a more serious note, the Wii has a USB port. Why not just use than to provide a storage add-on. Even a simple little tiny flash stick memory things could hold 16 GB.

First, people were screaming about how their wallets can't take both SMG and Brawl so closely together. Now Brawl gets delayed and the entire Holiday is gameless?

I also love how Kairon can't tell the difference between a typo from grammatical error.

What does the game looking lame have anything to do with self esteem? Unless you're talking about your own self esteem.

Yeah, I'm talking about the SNES remake. God that game's fugly. The animation's pretty good despite the over saturated colors. I'll take ANYTHING over the GBA's graphics. The animation's a joke in the GBA games. The horses legs don't even move in most of the frames. It was like watching a bad slide show.

Pretty impressive lighting in that shot. The water is reflective so that's another plus. The textures are very blurry though and don't seem to have much detail. Of course that screen shot's resolution is horrible. You can see all the Jpeg compression artifacts all over the place. I hope they'll bump map the rough surfaces like Godzilla Unleashed.

BTW... is this series actually good? I know it really sells in Japan, but is it actually a good game? I heard the games themselves are rather mediocre and not worth playing. I'm not really sure what to make of this.

73
I looks incredibly lame, until I realize this is a WiiWare game. It's actually pretty impressive. I wonder how long is this little quest going to last? Obviously we won't see any CG movies (which is fine by me), but they can do tons of realtime stuff. Maybe a 30 hours quest to make it sweeter?

I don't know, Sara. I personally thought the original SNES remake looked worse. Also, the screens confirm weapon triangle has been added to the game. And where'd you get the info of 3 being remade along with it? You sure we're getting 3? Will book 1 be like the SNES version or NES version? I kind of dig the semi pre-rendered look to the graphics though.

I agree with the artwork though. I'm a bit iffy on the new look. Well, at least they didn't port the GBA engine, or else I'd really rip my eyes out.

Exactly! The 450K sales didn't convince them, you think a measly 24k signatures are going to convince them?
