Instead of this Game & Watch why not make a Game Boy Classic? This has an LCD screen and can play Super Mario Bros so surely similar tech could handle Game Boy games. This is just a novelty, a Game Boy Classic is an obvious product with some real practical functionality that compliments the NES and SNES Classic and could fill demand for more Classic systems, particularly since there isn't going to be an N64 Classic. When they first showed it I thought it might be a Game Boy Mini or whatever, and hoped it was.
They actually did it. Those madmen! So, now if someone asks what were the last 5 games released for the Wii, the answer has been updated to Just Dance 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018 and 2019. And who says the Wii U is dead? They're still games coming out for it. Stay back Switch, you vulture!
We'll see how things go but I have to wonder with 20 games there are 15 1st party, 1 main brand collaboration, and the best selling game of all time how long will the 3rd party lovefest last? It's been a year, the install base is decent as are 3rd party offerings.I wish DQ Builders was higher, good game people!I loved the demo, I like the idea of Minecraft but would like some reason to do stuff which DQ Builders provides so I will be picking it up.
Even though most third party games are not appearing in the top 10, my understanding is that the majority of third party games are selling well enough that they are profitable and making the publishers happy. When they put the effort in, fans will reward them (the only Switch purchase I regret is WWE 2K18, it's a terrible port of a game already riddled with bugs).

Okay, but why though?70 million sold? Bigger in a different demographic?
I guess it’s nice 3DS is getting some love. At the same time, I feel like people would probably rather have an HD version on Switch.
Glad to see they're letting this series die with the decrepit 3DS.Well anything involving touch controls pretty much has to.
By far my favorite Kirby game. The style suits the characters perfectly, the music is a stand-out highlight with how beautifully composed it is and how it sets tone for each level. The snow levels specifically really benefit from this.
As someone whose wife is a casual game player at best, the no death/losing gems penalty was a great point-of-entry for her with little punishment, and as she got better, we were able to start focus on 100% the levels.
Best Kirby game. Fite me.
The one that won is the only one I haven't played so I couldn't say I agree or disagree and the other two are so close in percentages that it isn't like one is getting a raw deal either.
I haven't beaten either of the first two and probably got further in the first one. I actually never even got to the point where I was using a mech in X. I love these games but they're unfortunately really huge and I just can never seem to dedicate enough consecutive free time to get far with them. Something in life comes up, grown up **** if you will, and I don't end up playing the game for a few weeks and then it all just falls by the wayside because I've forgotten where I am and what I was doing. This is a problem with games in general but it really affects these titles because they're so long. I can fit a 20-30 hour game in no problem but 100 hours? I wish at least one of these came out when I was under 23. I would have loved these games and had the flexibility then to play them fully.
Im guessing they will never say, but I would be very interested to know how many of the NES Mini were made
I'm slightly surprised that Super Mario Kart won over Star Fox, as I personally feel Star Fox is more playable.
... Pacific Theater of Operations 2. ...
I've never seen this game before. Looks interesting!
Reminded me of another SNES game that I loved, but most people have probably never heard of: Gemfire. (It also had a NES release, but the SNES version was much faster/better because of the more powerful system.) Felt it was a great little strategy game at the time and I'd love to revisit it now - but Gemfire is quite rare and never gained enough of a fan following to make re-release through virtual console, etc, worthwhile.
If looking to add a strategy game, that's where I'd go. (Not down-voting PTO2 - I just have no experience with that game so can't offer a yay or nay.)
This increase in difficulty also brings into play a substantial complaint: there are absolutely no checkpoints. While early levels are often quite short and not too difficult, later levels can take upwards of 20 minutes.
