Billy, I've been reading this site for at least 3 years now, and even though I haven't been as vocal as other members of the PGC Forum, I will miss you just as much as they will.  Even though you'll have that big cushie job at Game Informer, you'll be sure to visit us in the forums every once in a while right?

General Gaming / Nintendo's next console in 2005
« on: April 16, 2003, 05:17:55 PM »
While true, being first to the market gives you great inital sales, but being first to the market doesnt always mean you win.  The Dreamcast had a year headstart on Nintendo and Sony and look where they are now.

General Gaming / Do You Regret trading in your NES?
« on: April 15, 2003, 02:41:04 PM »
Advanced Gamer, the reason the NES version 2 is worth more is because it was made in a small production amount to stimulate sales after the SNES was released.  Same thing with the SNES version 2.  Every Nintendo system does it in one form or another.  The N64 had the "Funtastic" colors near the end, the game boy became the game boy pocket, the game boy pocket had limited edition colors, and the game boy advance has the SP.

you should check buy-rite.com.  Although they do have it in stock, you're gonna pay an arm just to get it.  The price comes in at $145. For 25 bucks less than that, you could get a Game Axe .  The Game Axe was a portable NES made by an unknown company.  The system is also backlit and comes with a convertyer

Nintendo Gaming / Is the SP the sexiest gaming machine
« on: April 15, 2003, 07:49:47 AM »
Is the SP the sexiest gameing machine?  Have you seen any of the european ad's.  "GBASP, it's the second best thing to do in the dark."  I wish i could link a picture, but i think that's against the rules.

Nintendo Gaming / The future of gameboy and some other issues.
« on: April 15, 2003, 07:43:45 AM »
I agree with you Syr_Aran, but the industry wants to go to the 3rd deminsion.  Look at all the 3D games out on the GBA.  From Doom to Crazy Taxi, all are trying to push the GBA where it wasn't intended to go.  If Nintendo doesnt go 3D people will go to the system that does.  Look at the mid 1990's, Nintendo was on top of the world with the SNES, and when the N64 released, there were many games that came out at first because of Nintendo's dominance in the previous console war.  Slowly but surely, companies began to go to the playstation because of the extra space on the discs to get the sound and length that they wanted but couldn't get from the N64.  The point is that if the public wants 3D portability, and someone releases it at a reasonable price, developers will flock to it and so will consumers.  I think that Nintendo should eventually turn the GCN into what the PSOne is now, except it would actually be a handheld system that had decent battery life.
