If you haven't decided on a face for your character, here's a New Leaf Face Guide to help you decide.

TalkBack / Re: E3 Best Buy Demo Locations Revealed
« on: May 29, 2013, 07:03:42 PM »
Unfortunately, my Best Buy isn't among those listed. I thought it was going to be at all Best Buys, but oh well. I don't care about the demos that much anyway, I don't mind waiting for the real games.

I got it, but I still haven't gotten the Animal Crossing puzzle.  :@

I'm having a lot of fun with it so far as one of the early mayors. If you're interested, I post a daily New Leaf blog at http://www.jvgs.net/newleafblog/

To me, it's mind-boggling that they didn't think to acquire permission to use it before they put it into a game. Just because it's on the internet doesn't mean you're allowed to take it and make money off of it. You'd think a big company like Warner Bros. would know that. People making memes and passing them around is one thing, but this was used in a commercial, for-profit video game. Don't you think WB would do the same if another company used WB characters in their video games?

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Where is the love for the original Wii?
« on: May 01, 2013, 09:43:03 PM »
It does seem like Nintendo gave up on Wii earlier than they should have. At the time, I thought it was because they were putting all their resources into having a large game library on Wii U, but that doesn't seem to be the case. It makes you wonder what all they've been doing the past couple years (unless they moved their Wii teams to 3DS instead of Wii U).

I'm glad the friends list app shows how long it's been since a user has logged on to their console.

Let's me know who cares. ;)

But the system does allow people to set their status to private. So if someone set their status to private two months ago, it will appear they haven't been on for two months, even if they're actually playing every day. Just a heads-up.

Personally I think it's ugly, but I know a lot of people like the look of it. It's still a good thing to have more options though. Plus, the more people that buy it, the easier it'll be for me to find a physical cartridge on release day. :P

Yeah, try creating some things in the object editor. Or search existing item "stores" to get ideas.

TalkBack / Re: Several Online Wii Channels Shutting Down in June

I can understand shutting down channels like the weather and the news, but why take away the ability to send messages and exchange Miis? That sucks if that part is true.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Would you play a game for 50c...
« on: March 27, 2013, 08:36:52 PM »
No, I'm not. But if you're playing a new game, you're not likely to last 5 minutes on the first 50 cents. And some games have a timer anyway. I played some racing game in an arcade once, I think it cost a dollar even. It gave you about 45 seconds of play time, it didn't even let you finish the race before it was asking for more money. That was the last time I paid a dollar to play an arcade game. If it's not a game you're familiar with, it's just throwing money away.

I wouldn't. Why pay 50 cents when you may be dead in a minute? That comes out to $30 an hour to play a game. Sure, you'll last longer once you get better at the game, but you'd have to spend a lot of money early on just to get good at it. It's definitely not worth it, I'd rather buy a game and play it as much as I want.

General Gaming / Re: What's your favorite launch game of all time?

Hmm, good question. I think I'd have to go with Super Mario World, although Super Mario 64 is a close second.

Nintendo Gaming / Re: Amazing Deals!
« on: March 13, 2013, 06:51:22 PM »
Well Amazon lists the normal price as $59.99, and I've seen it at that price elsewhere as well. But it's a good deal regardless. Amazon isn't the only one having a sale on the game; it's $29.99 at Best Buy this week as well.

Amazon currently has Batman: Arkham City: Armored Edition (Wii U) for $29.99. That's half off the normal price!

TalkBack / Re: F-Zero AX Uncovered within GameCube F-Zero GX
« on: March 08, 2013, 07:58:14 PM »
It's amazing to me that this could go undiscovered for so long. Even if it was found out late last year, that's still 9 years. It makes me want to get an Action Replay now. Well for this, and to unlock The Legend of Zelda in Animal Crossing.

42
How is $30 hard to justify? The original game was and is $60, and includes about the same amount of levels as this expansion.

For non-retail games, eShop games usually top out at $20 or so. And I  don't believe any of Nintendo's first-party WiiWare games sold for more than $10-12. But this isn't even a new game, it's just DLC that's going to re-use existing maps and swap out the levels with different ones. I'd be shocked if they charged $30 for this.

43
I can't imagine them charging $30 for DLC; that's hard to justify. Even $20 is a lot, if you ask me. If it's going to cost that much, they might as well release it as a separate eShop game so that anyone can buy it (and not just people who own NSMBU).

I was expecting it earlier, but at least it has a date now.

From what I've been reading, you can change it whenever you want (the changes take effect the following day), but it costs 20,000 bells to make the change.

TalkBack / Re: Nintendo Direct Coming Thursday

I'm not expecting any big announcements, but I'm really hoping Animal Crossing: New Leaf and Pikmin 3 get release dates. We've been waiting years for those games.

47
Well at least it hasn't been delayed again. The sooner it comes out, the better. I'm a huge Animal Crossing fan and I'll be buying a 3DS specifically for this game.

48
I've never tried Kirby's Adventure (or any of the regular Kirby games), so I'll definitely give that a try in April.

Here's mine. I also have Nano Assault Neo from the e-Shop.

Rude. That's not the point. We shouldn't have to patch every game on day one.
